how are you supposed to like the part of yourself that just makes you worse than everyone else
The Androgyne Dilemma of the Dissociated Transsexual Individual(s).
[ID: Three copies of a drawing, the latter two identical to the first but with reduced and absent text.
The drawing is a mirrored public restroom, with a men's room in blue on the left and a women's room in pink on the right. The anthro feline figures on each side stand at the sinks, averting their eyes from the mirror while washing their hands. Their reflections have different appearances, being lionlike while otherwise wearing the same outfits and expressions. Both figures carry the same decorated cane.
On the blue side is a tomcat, his tail flicking and ear twitching in agitation. He wears a baggy t-shirt, square glasses, and a medical mask pulled down under a bearded jaw. Text around him reads "I hate using the men's room. I feel like I never see other men with hair like mine. Is my hair too long for a "man"? Am I slouching enough to hide my chest? Is this shirt baggy enough? What are they gonna think of me? I hate taking my mask off, but I have to, so they can see I have facial hair. Am I acting "masculine" enough? I hate this so much. I wish there was a gender neutral restroom. I hope my body hair is visible enough. I hope it make up for my scrawny body. I feel like I'm not tall or muscular enough to be a "man". Are these stickers and decorations on my cane too "girly"? They're definitely going to find out. That I'm "Not Man Enough." That I don't belong here. "
On the pink side is a bobcat, her ears back and tail pressed against her body in fear. She wears a button-up sweater, round glasses, and a medical mask pulled up over the bottom half of her face. Text around her reads "I hate using the women's room. I feel like all the women I see have much better-kept hair than I do. And they wear makeup, too. But I don't. Is this sweater tight enough? To show what little chest I have? What are they going to think of me? I have to keep my mask on. I can't let anyone see that I have facial hair. Am I acting "feminine" enough? I hate this so much. I wish there was a gender-neutral restroom. I hope nobody sees the body hair on my hands... I hope I'm slouching enough that it makes up for my height. I feel like I'm too tall and too muscular to be a "woman". Is my outfit "girly" enough? They're definitely going to find out. That I'm "not woman enough". That I don't belong here."
In the center, between the lions, is the repeated and fading refrain "Don't look in the mirror."]
