This project got started completely accidentally. I was looking for cute rabbit sewing patterns because I have a metric fuck ton of velvet and wanted to make some velveteen rabbits, but instead I found this absolutely adorable sock bunny pattern. That same day my step dad threw out eight pairs of old socks so I rescued them from the trash, and washed and dyed them so I could make sock bunnies!
I have to make approximately forty of these California poppy pins, but the first few are turning out really well! They're for the visiting Estonian choirs coming to this year's West Coast Estonia Days in June. I wanted to make a gift that gave them a little piece of California to take with them, and that I could make forty of in a little over a month. I'm using a modified version of this free pattern. My flower center is one round of hdc rather than two of sc so I have that back loop behind the back loop to crochet the stem into.

I'm making sock bunnies out of old socks, but all the socks are just plain white and grey so I'm dyeing them fun colors :)
More big news! I've officially graduated college! This is my senior collection for our school's fashion show. Shout-out to my friend Moss for being a much better model than I am despite never having modeled before (and I have). My collection was inspired by forget me nots and the song Meelespea by Veljo Tormis. I didn't get started early enough so I only had time to make two looks but I made all the clothes and the black earrings that Moss is wearing. Usually I try to use only free patterns but I needed to buy some for this. The shirt I'm wearing is this Etsy pattern and the pants are the basquiat trousers from mood. Moss's blouse pattern is also from Etsy and the skirt is a variation of the nadine skirt from Tiana's closet. The earrings are the Lacy lemon earrings.
I don't usually post my sewing on here, because it's usually for school but I have big news! I'm starting a small business where I do custom upcycling for people, so as an example I made this memory bear out of my old shirts using this free pattern. I've really struggled with hoarding things that I was emotionally attached to and not knowing what to do with them, so this is my way of trying to help others with that same problem. This way you can keep that old ratty band shirt or baby clothes or grandma's old quilt with a million holes in it without them just sitting in the closet or a box. You can get them turned into something to either wear or display so you can continue to enjoy them and the memories that come with them!
I finally finished my little sister's birthday present and only a week late this time! I was kinda stuck on what to make because I've been making her birthday presents for like the past five years so I'm running out of ideas. But because she's 9 now I figured her fine motor skills are good enough now to get into the family hobby of fountain pens. I got my first fountain pen from my dad and my gift to her this year was not only her first fountain pen (a pilot metropolitan) and some inks, but also this notebook cover with a MD notebook in it. I sewed the notebook cover itself using this free pattern, and then crocheted all the little flowers and leaves. All the patterns I used for the embellishments are free!
Dogwood, Lavender (also the pattern for the oak flower just a different color and more irregular), Lilac, Sunday flower (the two toned blue), Butterfly, Oak leaf (the smaller ones were me adjusting the pattern), Leaves 1 & 2 (which I also adjusted the patterns for to make different sized leaves). The daisy/forget me nots are my own pattern/a standard five petal flower pattern

I've been making a bunch of earrings for future craft fairs. I love making earrings because they're so quick so you get the satisfaction of finishing something in like 30 minutes. All three of these patterns are available for free!

Finished my second melt the ice hat! This one is for my boyfriend so I added extra stitches and extra length so it'd fit his giant head.
I finally finished this set of coasters I've been procrastinating for like a year! I finished the main body ages ago and just needed to do the borders. These are my go to out in the world project to work on when I need something to do with my hands. These would be up on my goimagine shop but unfortunately goimagine is shutting down :( but I will have them for sale at my next craft fair.

I'm officially one third of the way through this scarf! Luckily I have until August to finish it so I'm in no rush. I've loved working on this scarf, the pattern is so fun and interesting, but not too complicated. I don't usually talk about the yarn I use, but this yarn is special. I got it on a trip to Ireland, and it has a QR code on it that shows you the farms and sheep the wool came from.
