Time in Motion by Qi Wei Fong

Singapore-based artist Qi Wei Fong composes landscape and cityscape collages chronicling the different times of day in a 2-4 hour period. By layering and randomly slicing the different points of a sunset or sunrise in an image, Fong manipulates the change in scenery. As one of his most recent works, “Time in Motion,” Fong has animated a series of existing photos from locations in China, Indonesia and Bali to showcase the ephemeral nature of time.
