Addison smirked when the girl said how good she and her son were at distracting each other. She knows that’s not what she meant but still… She grinned, “That’s good. I’m glad you guys had each other.”

veronica kept the small smile stuck on her face as she nodded, “ y-yeah, me too. ” she shook her head with a small nervous chuckle, “ wh-what about you? how have you been since... everything? ”

LOLA

“Years of practice, Veronica,” she grinned, “I know my order can be somewhat obnoxious but you should taste it, it’ll change your life.“

“ mm maybe. i mean, if i’ve gotta order one might as well order two and be absolutely obnoxious, right? ”

MOM

“I would appreciate it if you could,” Lexie told her. “I don’t think you’re missing anything. I don’t think you’re meant to suddenly feel different just because you’re a little older, y’know?”

“ life’d be easier if i could. i miss scheduled nap time, ” veronica shrugged with a small reminiscent sigh. “ yeah, that’s what i thought but a lot of people seem to think something should change like immediately.. ”

“Happy birthday sis. It’s not that bad being a legal adult.” he smiled at her. “I got you a present, it’s in the fridge. You’ll love it. It tastes really good too.”

“ ooh, an edible present, ” veronica’s smile grew. “ you didn’t really have to get me anything, kade. ”

“Wow can’t believe you’re an adult now. Where did the time go?” 

“ i can’t really believe it either, ” veronica shrugged with a small smile. “ i dunno but time kinda needs to slow down.. ”

ADDISON

“You’re fine,” she grinned, “You’re great actually. How is everything, you know, after the lock down and all? I know a couple of people didn’t really recover too well.”

there was a small shrug before veronica answered, “ it’s been okay. i was kinda shaken up but it could have been worse. cam and i were pretty good at distracting each other and i think that helped. ”

LOLA

Lola laughed when she finished. She couldn’t even try to be mad at the girl. She knew she could be over the top with the way she liked her coffee and just repeated her Starbucks order, “ Venti Iced Skinny Hazelnut Macchiato, Sugar-Free Syrup, Extra Shot, Light Ice, No Whip.”

“ got it, got it. sorry.. ” she nodded a couple of times confidently, determined to correctly fetch the order. “ y’know, i think there have been actual speeches longer than your starbucks order. i really don’t even know how you remember it. but i got it. i promise. ”

“Sorry,” she huffed out, “it’s been a long day.”

“ ah, ” veronica nodded. “ i just want to make sure, y’know, i didn’t do anything to warrant a glare because i definitely didn’t mean to. ”

MOM

“I certainly don’t like it,” Lexie said with a laugh, wrapping her arms tightly around her daughter. “Happy birthday, sweetheart.”

“ sorry, mom. if i could go back to, like, kindergarten i would in a heartbeat, ” veronica shrugged with a small laugh as she returned the hug. “ thanks. people keep asking me if i feel any different and i don’t. am i supposed to feel different? am i missing something here? ”

CALLIE

“Happy birthday Veronica!” Callie says with a smile.  “Why should we be afraid? I think your parents did a good job.  Didn’t leave you with too many emotional scars” she says, chuckling slightly. 

“ thank you, ” veronica smiled. “ no, i’m sure they could have left me with more. but i, as a now adult, have no idea what i’m doing and that’s why you should be afraid. ”

That’s… no. God, no. For starters, Cam isn’t exactly Charlotte’s type— if you know what I mean. And he’s waaay too nice for her. Plus, he’s literally heart eyes emoji at Veronica at all times. So…

Ship what you want, no judgement here, but… your ship’s a little bit definitely not gonna happen.

recast high school musical

Lemme just preface by saying I literally refuse to cast Troy and Gabriella. For which, you all should be grateful. Because the hatred dislike for them is too strong. Greedy bitches really came into the theatre world and literally screwed everything up for the people who’d worked hard for years to try to get lead roles. They suck. Anyways.

Sharpay - Probably Charlotte for very obvious reasons. Oh, and if you take account into the Sharpay is gay theories, it’s even more accurate. Read into those. They’re fucking riveting.

Lucas - Jeez, I don’t really know. Can I just say I feel like he had more potential than anyone would let him realize, and that he deserves better? Which totally reminds me of Kaden, who… god, talk about underappreciated humans.

Taylor - Lola, probably. Taylor’s super fucking smart, which is hardly touched on enough in the movie, and, um… have you met Lola?

Chad - Hm… Nick? Kinda gets a little too mad about stuff sometimes, y’know? But all around decent human being and sidelined way too much.

Zeke - Cam, for sure. Minus the crush on Sharpay part, ‘cause boy’s got some serious heart eyes for a certain Sloan.He played sports and stuff, but then also just wanted to bake some fucking pastries ‘nd shit, dammit. 

Kelsi - I’m gonna go with Finley for this one. Because, like many of the children ‘round here, she’s literally forgotten. When in reality, she’s one of the best. High School Musical would be shit without Kelsi. She deserved better. As does Finley.

Michael Scott: Derek, probably. Not that he’s in charge, but that he’s lowkey a part of everyone’s lives. Which is sweet in a way, but also… sometimes maybe a little much for him.

Dwight: I don’t know if anyone ‘round here is as… interesting as Dwight, but maybe Pete? I mean… Pete sometimes seems like the only one in the hospital who really seems to want to get his work done, but personality-wise it’s a no-go. That’s as close as we can get.

Jim: Cam? I dunno… kind of like an unsung hero. But also a little shit and pulls pranks that’re… mostly harmless. I could totally see Cam fucking with the adults around here just for the hell of it if his mom wasn’t Addison. 

Pam: I’m gonna give this one to Veronica, mostly because of the whole super quiet introverted thing. Granted, Veronica’s probably like that more due to her illness than anything. But it’s whatever. Anything goes on here.

Skipping Ryan because… literally no idea who he’d be.

Andy: Owen, for sure. This is because sometimes when I look at Andy, I say poor guy in my mind, and the same thing happens sometimes when I look at Owen.

Angela: I’m gonna give this one to Meredith. Mostly for mistress-y reasons… but for some others that would take too long to get into, so I’ll just end it here.
