You cannot make everyone think and feel as deeply as you do. This is your tragedy … because you understand them, and they do not understand you.

this gets funnier when you see the time stamp
My family was lucky enough to find a safe space before anything can happen to us but others weren't. Please help them and my country.

F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Beautiful and Damned (1934)
Two ends of the spectrum.
Same energy.
The parts of Encanto that make me cry
I could make this short and say the entire movie but I just really love talking about Encanto.
Toñito’s little “I need you.” I would do anything for this precious child.
When Mirabel’s door disappears, the music that underscores that hAD NO RIGHT
The part in Waiting for Miracle when the family is all around Mirabel looking at her with adoration, just….all she wants is to be recognized and cherished.
The section of Surface Pressure towards the end after the bridge when everything comes down on to Luisa, and her voice goes soft. I want to hug her so bad.
The goddamn plate
“You left…to protect me?” Tears.
“When I finish saving the miracle, I’m bringing you home.” Her determination, his soft look, I’m crying on the floor.
That second after Abuela says “I don’t know why you didn’t get a gift, but that is no reason for you to hurt this family,” to Mirabel, and she responds “I will never be good enough for you…will I?” It hurts in the most horrible way.
“Bruno didn’t care about this family!” “He loves this family. I love this family!” This entire scene just seizes my heart in a death grip. Crying and throwing up.
After casita falls, you can hear Pepa say “No, don’t cry, Antonio.” WHY IS HE CRYING WHY AM I CRYING
All of Dos Oruguitas, but specifically when Pedro kisses his triplets, then Alma, and sacrifices himself. The way she falls to the ground in anguish. The lighting. The score. Everything.
“I asked my Pedro for help…Mirabel, he sent me you.” :’) I’m dead at this point
Just the fact that Bruno, after ten years of being absent from his family and fearing the wrath of his mother, comes in on horseback to defend his niece, putting all the blame on himself because he could not stand for Mirabel getting hurt anymore.
“Brunito.” She’s so happy to have her baby back in her arms, I can’t.
“To watch our little girl grow.” “She takes after you.” PLEASE I want what they have.
“We see how bright you burn.” Warm color family appreciation. The harmonies are so good. The way they look at Mirabel.
“You’re the real gift.” STOP IT
“Abre tus ojos, what do you see?” “Me…all of me.” SHE IS FINALLY SEEN, not just by herself but by her family! They look at her with so much love!
Anyways, I love this movie with my entire being
I never wanna stop watching this video
Wow!
who else feels like tumblr is a dying platform and it’s the virtual equivalent of being at the club still when it’s about to close in 15 minutes
