Prophet ﷺ said: "... He (Allāh) looks at you when you are in the state of hardship and despair, and laughs, knowing that your relief is close."
● [أحمد ١٦١٨٧، إبن ماجه ١٨١، صحيح إبن ماجه للأ لباني ٣٨١٠]
Haya | حيـــا
The word Haya', meaning shame and modesty, is derived from hayah, meaning life. The rain is called haya because it brings life to the land, plant and livestock. The life of the world and the Hereafter is known as haya'; anyone who has no shame is dead in the world and wretched in the Hereafter.
Between the sins and lack of shame and jealousy there is attachment; each one of them requires the other and looks earnestly for it.
Anyone who feels ashamed of Allāh at the time of committing a sin will feel ashamed of His punishment on the Day he meets with Him; anyone who does not have shame from disobedience of Allāh will not be ashamed of His punishment.
[Ibn al-Qayyim, al-Da' wa 'l-Dawa']
Sometimes instead of connecting with friends on social media, it would be better to put the phone down and connect with Allah. He loves you more than your friends or your ‘fans’ ever will.
Unsure of what acts of worship to prioritize?
Sufyan al-Thawri said, “The best dhikr is the recitation of the Qur’an inside Salah. Then, it is the recitation of the Qur’an outside Salah. Then, it is fasting. Then, it is dhikr.”

You’ll never walk away empty handed from Allaah.
"Nous avons entendu et nous avons obéi." — a sentence that has been on my mind for the last few weeks.
Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (ﺭﺣﻤﻪﺍﻟﻠﻪ)
“There are many who hold PhD’s, but don’t have any [Islāmic] knowledge.”

Who else longing to move to Madinah and stay there forever until the end?
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“How many a reward has come racing toward you…
But then stopped at the door; for the doors responding back were:
"I will"
"Perhaps"
and "Maybe" (do good deeds).

Forget them, you will meet your Lord alone.
“When I was studying in Cairo, my roommate and I needed to get our visas extended. To do this, we had to go to a specific government building in downtown. We’d already done this before and had taken newcomers to do it as well and it was always daunting and long. Before we headed downtown, we stopped by our Arabic center, asking the secretary, “Pray Allah makes it easy for us!” She responded, “Make istighfar. Just keeping saying, ‘Astaghfirullah- Oh Allah, I seek Your forgiveness.’” She continued, “The Prophet [peace be upon him] taught us, “If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from God), God will appoint for him/her a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him/her from where he/she expects not” [Abu Dawud]. We thanked her for the reminder and headed out, making istighfar. We found a taxi shockingly fast and had an easy ride. We particularly upped our istighfar as we got closer to the building. Instead of crazy waits and disarray, our experience was Alhamdulilah smooth, easy, accommodating. Not only were doors opened for us that we didn’t expect- the moments that were usually filled with exhaustion and angst were instead filled with remembering God, seeking His forgiveness, drawing nearer and nearer to Him. When you’re running late and afraid you’re going to miss your flight, when you’re about to take that daunting exam, when you’ve been up all night with insomnia and have an important presentation the next morning- when you’re sick and exhausted, when you’re so worried about your children that your tears never seem to dry- make istighfar. It doesn’t mean everything is necessarily going to change or be perfect or fixed. But we’ve been promised that it will be our aid. It’s a lifeline. It’s a relief. It’s a means of doors and provision opening for us from places we’d never expect. And isn’t all of that - and so much more- an easy habit worth creating? Astaghfirullah- Dear God, I seek Your forgiveness!”

How to quit listening to music? I was doing so well the last few months and I slipped 💔
I have this idea to make an e-booklet of chosen daily duas from Al Quran and hadist sahih, with a little illustration made by me here and there, and give the link to my friends so they can have it too.
It could be done by the next Ramadan if only I am not keep forgetting it like these past two months [!!!]
