I’ll Never Leave You - Teddy Lupin x Reader
Okay so Teddy is the cutest so I decided to stick with him, I don’t write smut unfortunately.. Anyways, if this sucks I’m so sorry but I’ve been out of the writing game for a while, and, let’s face it, my past works sucked anyway so I suppose it can only get better? Hope you like this.
Something had been off with Teddy all week, and it was starting to annoy you. You had hardly seen your boyfriend over the last couple of days, and you were starting to think he had purposely been avoiding you. Already having searched your mind for some sort of explanation for his behaviour, and coming up short, you began searching the castle for him. As you wandered the halls, you racked your brain again for answers. Your relationship had been going perfect, what was with the sudden change?
Finally, you got to your desired destination, the library. Whenever Teddy was down he would always venture off to somewhere quiet to think. As you entered the room, a small smile graced your face as you saw the Hufflepuff sitting in one of the soft chairs by a window. His eyes met yours, and you stopped in your tracks, something was definitely wrong. The look he gave you wasn’t the normal one of love and admiration, but one of sadness and almost fear.
“Sorry (Y/N), gotta go,” He muttered quickly, once you made your way over to him, shoving his books in his bag and making his way to the exit.
You stood there, dumbfounded. You felt anger and hurt cloud your emotions as you turned and followed him out.
“Edward Remus Lupin,” You shouted down the corridor at him, making him stop in his tracks. He knew you were angry, very angry considering you used his full name.
“What the hell is the matter with you?” You growled, voice low, as you tried to keep yourself together.
“Nothing, just back off,” Teddy muttered, turning to walk away from you.
Harshly, you grabbed his rope and pulled him back, “I am your girlfriend Teddy. You can’t just ignore me.”
Teddy could sense your building anger, but instead of trying to calm you down and make the whole situation better, he said the one thing that would make it a whole lot worse. “Well maybe if you weren’t so clingy all the time, I wouldn’t have to ignore you!”
Your face grew red and you lost it, “Honestly fuck you Teddy, I’ve tried time and time again to help you and this is how you repay me? Clingy?! CLINGY?! Remember that next time you miss your parents and you’re all alone because you have no one to comfort you anymore!”
You knew mentioning his parents was a low blow, but at that point you didn’t care. Teddy knew you often worried about if you were being too smothering, and he had used that against you, so you did the same to him.
Teddy went to say something but all he could stutter out was your name. You tried to keep your glare on him as cold as possible, but as soon as you saw the tears start to well up in his eyes, your face softened.
“I’m sorry,” You whispered, as you fiddled with the sleeves of your robe, not daring to look at your boyfriend. “I’m sorry I mentioned your parents.”
“And I’m sorry I’ve been ignoring you all week, I’ve just been so stressed and I’m scared you’ll - you’ll leave me,” He muttered, sitting down on one of the benches in the hall.
You slowly went over and joined him, taking his hand in yours, “I’ll never leave you okay? You want to talk about it?”
He shook his head, “Later.”
You gave him a weak smile, as his face slowly moved closer to yours, pulling you in for a kiss. You felt any anger you had left towards him disappear, and you deepened the kiss. His hands started to roam underneath your shirt, and you pulled away, grinning at the now smirking boy.
“Want to take this to my dorm?” He asked shyly.
You nodded, grabbing his hand and the two of you made your way towards the Hufflepuff common room, barely keeping your hands off of each other.
