Not really bothered by his response, either he believed her or didn’t. Who was she to prove to him about the dark beasts in the forest. “You just do that, if you find something else. Let me know…” She said sarcastically. She felt hungry, but not for human food. It seems like her thirst was starting to come back to life, 'Damnit… I should have fed before I came in here…' Being around warm blood teenagers wasn’t exactly helping either, she couldn’t stop herself from scoffing softly before she felt her jaw tick. 

"Oh really? Truth in a rumor, I must hear about that one." Audra replied as her eyes widen softly, "Can’t say if I’m shocked or speechless. Please share this tidbit." Crossing her arms she placed pressure on her stomach, trying to stall her hunger. Hearing his commentary she couldn’t help but agree with him to a point. "But there is no stupid question or answer, besides if I did ask it would be just to know you." Keeping her eyes on the floor, not wanting to scare him if they happened to change, "Well that is if first I’ve heard of that; I’m guessing I can’t get you to change your mind. Could I?"

Audra's demeanor had changed dramatically and it was as opaque as any other uncontrolled superhuman in the school. After being there for so long, Terry was able to tell even when someone was thinking about their power. They all made the same face. "Well, I am a natural ginger," he joked. "Oh, and my astrological sign is Virgo." Terry couldn't help himself when it came to the rumors being told around the school. He spoke so little about himself that people decided upon themselves to fabricate information. "That's about it...really, it's about all you need to know about me."

"It's not much of an inconvenience on my part if you're adamant on not being called Audra."

Rosaline winced and jolted from the pain the small touch had caused her. “J-Jesus Christ..” She looked at him in bewilderment herself. “Don’t worry, didn’t really need that foot anyways..” Letting out a shaky sigh, she wiggled her toes with a mild expression of pain on her face, she stopped after a couple moments and looked at Terry. A pout visible on her face. “Look, I’m fine. I just need to rest and I’ll be god as new by tomorrow, we don’t have to go to the nurse..right?

The expression written on Rosaline's face as she complied with his instruction proved that it was just a little tendon issue. It wasn't anything to worry over. "Doesn't look to be getting any worse than this so...I think you're safe to be on your way," he told her, his voice offering a hidden warmth. "Do you need any help getting where you need to go or are you okay on your own?" Truthfully, he knew that her condition wasn't bad enough to require any form of assistance. Rosaline's foot would heal relatively soon; all superhumans had that weird ability. Even so, leaving her on her own if she felt like she could use help would prove rude on his part.

"—The little beasty? Oh yes.. I’m sure they are real, look at everything else." She said softly as her eyes looked out to the border of the forest surrounding the school. She herself have not been there. But she felt drawn to it. At least some part of her did, and she would be lying if she said she wasn’t feeling up to it. "Let’s just say I have an inkling about them." Looking back at him she smiled darkly. Dropping the subject she twitched her nose, as he talked on about the gossip mill, "So anything true about you? I mean obvious you are someone they do talk about." 

"Or is it no one has been asking you the right questions?" Totally by passing the minor gossip it was of no interest to her. More the point it was boring and pathetic. "Petty little rumors, seems boring and not that all intelligent." Listening to him as he talked on she glanced at her nails, it was a habit of hers when she really didn’t know how to response. Once again his voice caught her ears, "So as a southerner you will only call people by their government names? How quaint…."

The way she alluded indicated that she lacked a first-hand experience with the 'beasts' as they were so commonly referred, though it came as no surprise to Terry. He was at the border every night and not once had he ever seen her. Still, she seemed adamant in their existence. "I'll take your word for it," he said lightly, still mentally analyzing her statement. He thought maybe her belief stemmed from the fact that she had the traits of Vampires. The whole idea of paranormal senses was an incalculable concept. For all extensive purposes, the darkness could be sending signals out to those whom have a natural dark aspect.

"There's probably some truth in what they're saying. I don't pay much attention to it unless it's outrageous," he admitted. Terry knew that at least something about him had to have been leaked, but it was probably something small like his birth date. "And the phrase 'right questions' is a matter of opinion. What might sound like a suitable question to you might not be as worthy to me." He watched as she looked down at her nails. It was a nasty conversational habit, one that he deemed rudimentary. "Unless your name is too difficult to pronounce, yes. It's common courtesy."

"Pfft, you can identify sociopaths? Is that your power?" Andrew quipped. "Sociopaths wear human masks, you know?" he added, taking a brief look at his skateboard. It needed some tending to. A piece of gum was stuck to one of the wheels. Andrew’s face lost color for a second. "How disguising," he thought. Luckily, it was dried up. He placed it back down on the ground, sighing to himself. "But yeah, I might be one; the humans think we all are anyways."

"Pariah? That’s a new one," he chuckled. Yeah, it was no news to Andrew that he was hated for his blunt outlook on life. That just meant that he wouldn’t get dates anytime soon. Andrew nodded his head. Terry’s tone dropped. Perhaps tiredness? Andrew hoped he wasn’t boring or annoying. He would have to give up his seat if someone more interesting and likable came by. "Yeah, the actual superhero," he said, remembering Terry’s social position. He glanced at the television; they moved onto weather. At least it wasn’t berating superhumans again.

"Why isn’t there a superhuman news channel? I heard one of the girls at WRAL has Electrokinesis. A blackout happened on air because she sneezed too hard," he explained, chuckling at the mere image. There was his attempt at being…likable?

"That's hardly a supernatural skill," Terry responded blandly through a smile. "Like every other mental disability, the signs are as transparent as the people whom they originate." Blue eyes trailed their view along Andrew's facial features, paying attention to each occurrence from the expansion of his chest as he drew breath to the way his eyebrow curled a bit when he added emphasis to a word. The boy had a face Terry was sure he wouldn't forget. "Some maybe, but I doubt it's true for you particularly." Andrew certainly did have some sort of social disorder, though. It was most likely tied to the impulses, or so Terry believed. That would explain why he was so quick to lash out at the woman on the television earlier.

There was a lot about Andrew's reputation that didn't make sense to Terry. He was abrasive, perhaps, but that was just a personal assessment Terry made on his own. He was sure that the thought couldn't have crossed so many other minds, seeing as how he honestly felt like most of the students at Arcadia could use a little more alone time to not come off as strong. When Andrew called him a superhero, he felt a pit open up in his stomach. He hated phrases like that. They had no warrant. "Ah...yes. I forgot my cape today, actually. Hero downtime and all," he replied sarcastically.

'Letting superhumans on the air would mean insinuate that the needs of the minority is as important as the needs of majority,' Terry thought to say, but knew that it was a little too somber of a reply. He decided on a more characteristic response. "I guess they were in for a shock."

Rosaline let out a small sigh before reluctantly agreeing to be looked at; she had always hated being the center of attention. Every time she was, it was for something negative and today was no exception. “W-Why not?.” She barely knew this boy and she could already tell he was highly intelligent, something she’d never be. Rose wondered what his power was. Shaking her head to regain her train of thought, she looked down at Terry and watched him look at her injury. It was minor, she knew that, because if she had truly twisted her ankles she would be crying non-stop since she was one to detest pain. She had gone through enough of it in her childhood. 

Somehow, she flinched and looked at him again, wondering what he thought it could be. “So what is it, is it really something worth telling the nurse?”

The first thing Terry did was grab onto the injured foot, lifting it up to his chest to get a better look it. He ran a finger along one of the veins in her leg as he surveyed. By the time it made its way to the foot, it seemed to have enlarged. Additionally, she was growing a sizable knot near her ankle. He lowered his eyebrows, forming a face of bewilderment. Rosaline was a lot more fragile than Terry had thought if she had nearly completely twisted her foot after running into him. "Nothing your superhuman regeneration can't fix," he stated analytically. He pushed a finger into the knot, holding her leg steady as he knew it would cause a painful reaction.

"Sorry if that hurt a little." Terry finally released her foot, letting remain on his chest as he heaved a lighthearted sigh and a rather hearty chuckle. "Try giving your toes a wiggle."

"Oh that is too bad, I think that would be quite funny." She pouted for a few moments, before taking a breath. Wiggling her nose she made a face as her thoughts flew, 'Very odd younglin indeed, don't know how I feel about this.' Hearing his voice brought her out of her thoughts. “Your name? Terry you say… hmm, decent. But it’s just easier to call you Puppy.” She just couldn’t pass up the chance to rattled him, it has been fun so far. ‘Hmm, maybe this won’t be a boring mix-up after all.’

"Who is from this sad little place?" She asked turning up her lip, "It’s hot, humid and the noisy. And for the lovely little fact we have dark, creepy little beasty things closing us in." She smile softly, as her dark curls fell around her face,"—- but then again the beasty probably are the best things here." Clapping her hands together softly she couldn’t stop the dark giggle that came out. Catching herself as she looked around room, she smoothed her hair back, "…That never happened. Moving on, I must say I’m surprised there isn’t much more about me. Then again it wouldn’t be the first time this has happened." She snorted as she replied dryly. 

Once again her eyes twinkled in glee as watched his facial expression, 'Watching people make faces.. highly interesting.' She listened to his reply and weighed it before she responded. “Everyone keeps things hidden, purposely or not. But who am I to ask for that information?” She shrugged softly, after all she had her own demons in her closet. What sane or insane person doesn’t? Then again if you ever wanted to know all you had to do was ask. “Who doesn’t enjoy being mysterious? The more allure you have around yourself the more you entice the people around you.” One again her eyes twinkled, looking at him she raised her eyebrows. “Hmmm I wonder what the rumor mill says about you puppy; do you know? I’m sure you’ve heard about them.” 

Not one to repeat herself, she frowned slightly as she felt her left eye twitch, oh how she preferred Dru to Audra. Then again the only people to call her by her full name were her parents. “You are one of those people aren’t you?”

Terry's smile never once left his face, though it did have it's variations in intensity in response to the conversation. That changed when she began to speak about the island, about the beasty things in the darkness. "Oh yeah? You actually believe in those things?" he inquired, disturbed. He'd knew the alleged sightings of these things were going around the school, but he assumed most of the student body took it as urban legend made up to scare people. She seemed so sure, though. Maybe she went out to the border and saw one. Maybe she was just joking. Terry didn't know, nor did he feel like dwelling on it.

"The gossip circle's slipping a little this week, actually. Last week, I supposedly slept with some sophomore girl who just so happened to be the girlfriend of some senior, but this week, I apparently threw the same guy out into the ocean and drowned him," Terry said, laughing a bit at the nonsensical nature of it all. "The murder victim is actually over there with his girlfriend." He proceeded to point at a rather tall, blonde haired boy standing aside an equally tall girl with a polka dotted sundress that only made her black hair stand out even more.

A tilt of his head and Terry opened his mouth once more. "She actually started the rumor to make herself seem more important. Nothing makes you more popular than a scandal." The frailty of the teenage agenda never ceased to amaze him. "Oh and yes, I am one of those people," he got out with a chuckle. "What can I say? It must be the southerner in me. I mean I only just met you."

She honestly tried not to laugh as she thought over the comedic situation that just keeps unraveling, watching as her world was turned right side up again. “T-Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind..” As she settled onto the counter, she blushed lightly and looked down at her left foot, slowly rolling her ankle until she found the spot that had hurt. Looking up at him with hesitant eyes. “I-I think I’ll be okay. I don’t want to keep bothering you, that banana is definitely more interesting than my petty injury.” Rosaline spoke, pushing up the glasses that where about to fall at any moment. She could help her pessimistic self.

Flashing Terry a smile, she began to speak again. ”Thank you though, don’t know how I could of managed without you.” She made no attempt to get off the counter in fear she might fall again.

It didn't take long for Terry to pick up everything that had found its way on the ground after the fall. He put each item exactly where he'd remembered putting them a few minutes before in the exact same order. He found comfort in doing things in a correct fashion The whole action was borderline obsessive in fact. He'd deduced it came with the whole memory thing. "The banana's actually just an object of circumstance." Terry looked up finally from his work and watched as she moved her slipping glasses up the bridge of her nose. "It doesn't really spark to my immediate attention. An injury, however does."

Her compliment fell on thankful ears. "I'll take a look now if you'll let me. I'm not a doctor or anything but if I can get a good measure on it, I can know what to tell the nurse."

Sighing she stood up and gathered her book, walking towards him she sat on the back side of the couch. ”You sure about that?” She couldn’t help herself. The young male was just too much, his facial expression made her smirk. “I mean if you did I wouldn’t judge you pup.” What was more so interesting then the words out of his mouth was his reaction, her green eyes twinkled in glee as he flared his nose. “You know when you to that you look like a puppy?” She said dryly as she glanced at her nails, listening to him dabble on about her. Audra was impressed, after all she could feel the sass on the side. 

"—-Impressive…I would say I know you name but just to be safe, I’ma call you puppy." She smiled softly, "But nice little trick there, you almost remind me of someone. Anything else you can tell me that isn’t in my file? Or better yet, let me guess you found it out from the rumor mill?" She asked sarcastically, after all she was use to rumor going on around here. From her background she was use to it. She was just hoping that for once it would leave here alone. 

Rolling her eyes honed back to him, “Senior of course, we’ve been in classes together. That much I know is true, like I said I’m sure I know your name but, I rather call you puppy.” She pinched his cheek just to mock him. “Talkative to boot, and such a sweet little helper. Secretive in his own right. Not much is known about you, even if the walls did have ears and eyes they couldn’t even figure out the puzzle you are.” Tilting her head to the side she gave him a small smile again, “If anyone is more an enigma it’s you.” Audra had to admit to herself, the young man in front of her was quite intriguing but yet she was still getting a vibe he was all cheers and smiles. “Nice to meet you, Audra Graves. But I prefer Dru.”

"Positive," his words were rather direct but not void of their usual cheerful luster. It was a bit unnerving to see her move so closely. Yesterday he hadn't heard the girl talk before and today, here she was sitting not even a foot away with a nickname for him. It was a lot to take in at once. "My name's Terry, by the way." 'Not that it matters,' he thought. Terry was never fond of nicknames. It never made sense as to why anyone would have a need for any other title. His first name already had five letters.  Five letters were not that much of a stress, especially if they only made up two syllables.

On some level, Terry could understand where her sarcasm stemmed from. News traveled much too quickly in this school for his tastes. "Well other than the fact that you're not from here, that's pretty much all I got," he lied, though he covered it up almost perfectly. There were other things circulating. Something about her being at Arcadia due to some kind of reform, that she had gotten lost every day for two years here, and that she drank actual blood were just some of the many other bits of information he'd heard around the school. It was too be expected; she wasn't exactly a "nobody" like most of the other students. Googling her name brought up plenty of topics to choose from.

The pinching of his cheek pulled him back into the conversation. His eyes flickered upward at her, an eyebrow cocked. "Secretive is giving me a little too much credit. I don't have any secrets," Terry retorted, smiling off the notion. It was, on a technical level, true; there wasn't anything he was blatantly keeping from everyone else. They just asked the wrong questions, getting the wrong answers. "I do enjoy the thought of being mysterious, though. It really adds to the allure of it all. And if you don't mind, I'd like to call you Audra. Dru's a little informal."

"I know, I don’t mind the waiting though..I guess it doesn’t hurt to go through while i’m still here." She flashed him a small smile and let out a nervous laugh. "M-Me? I’m fine, I only hurt my arm but that will heal quickly. It’s not like I twisted my ankles or anything." Rose looked down at her own two feet, she seemed to be standing alright, but noticed she was supporting herself more with her right foot. This made her worry about the possibility of an injured ankle and by the looks of it, this was likely the case. She hated it. She hated being a weak girl.

"A-Anyways, I-I might as well look inside to see what the others haven’t eaten yet." Rosaline began to walk inside the kitchen, but as soon as she stepped on her left foot she fell face-first to the ground. A huge blush appearing at the embarrassing situation and the fact that her things went flying everywhere. She tried to re-assure him with a hearse voice and a thumbs up. "I-I’m okay.."

A grin grew from ear to ear. "Wonderful. I'd recommend getting your hands on the last of the chicken breast before someone else does." He spoke in a more melodious tone than before, as if each word were the lyrics to some awful theatre production. He opened his mouth to continue but once he saw her falling, he did his best to maneuver and at least catch her before hitting the ground. It was to no avail, though, and he watched her collide with the tile of the kitchen, making a humorous thud noise.

As he scanned her over while she lay still, thumb propped up in the air. Judging from the way she'd stepped, it was most likely a sore tendon in her foot that gave beneath the weight of her stride. He began to recalculate how much energy she'd exerted when they bumped into each other moments earlier while picking her up off of the ground. Unless she'd been moving at half of her sprinting speed, she shouldn't be as beaten up as she was, he supposed. That was to say, only if she herself was an overly fragile person. "Try not to give yourself a concussion, now. You don't want to end up in the infirmary," Terry finally got out as he put his hands on her waist and propped her up onto the counter. "I'll get your stuff and then do you want me to take a look at that?"

The embarrassed blush on her face only grew as she realized who she had just bumped into. Her lips parted to let words out but they failed her yet again. Rose looked down at the ground, she carefully sat up with a wince, standing only after she had regained her composure. With a grateful smile, she took what was hers from his hold and slid them back into her notebook. “T-Thank you..” She looked him over with hesitant eyes before responding again. “I-I just wanted to see what there was..I didn’t really plan to get anything.”

She had met the boy once before, her first week here at Arcadia but didn’t talk ever since. So, she didn’t remember his name until he spoke. “I-I think I should go though, I think my appetite flew out the window along with my belongings.” Rosaline let out a sheepish smile and shifted her belongings to a less injured arm. “S-Sorry about bumping into you though. I really didn’t see where I was going..” Fixing the glasses on the bridge of her nose, she looked around before turning back to the person in front of her.

For a moment, Terry had zoned out. He had been so enveloped in getting everything where it should've been that it took Rosaline talking to snap him back into reality. He smiled as a response to her thanks and began to stand up after her, eyes diligently watching hers as they traveled around him. "Ah, I've done that before," he said shallowly, though he couldn't recall a single time he'd ever walked anywhere without the intent to get something.

When she spoke again, he lowered an eyebrow to hood over an eye, perking the other simultaneously. "You sure? I mean, the kitchen's open twenty-four hours a day but I'm pretty sure if you don't get something now while there's no crowd, you'll have to wait until the morning." Terry had stumbled into the kitchen just before dawn once. It took him three hours just to get a packet of instant ramen but by then, breakfast time was already afoot. It was too be expected from teenagers. Hormones and a few illegal substances did make for irregular eating habits. He decided to never make the mistake of waiting too late into the night to go for a food run. "And you're fine. I'm more concerned about you, actually. You provided all of the force in the collision and I've got plenty of inertia."

Rosaline made her way down to the common room during the late afternoon, the enthusiastic laughter and mindless chat of the students flooded her ears as she made her way to the books. Letting out a small sigh, she browsed around the bookshelves with books she had read time and time again. After coming up empty handed, the ginger grabbed a random book and began to make her way out of the room. No one would even notice it was missing most likely. So, without another though she sat down in her secluded corner, not really reading the book in her hands. She was just kind of looking at the words and turning the page. Rose shut the book in mild-annoyance that this is what her daily life now mostly consisted of.

Putting the book underneath her arm, she made her way out of the common room and into the carpeted halls of Arcadia High. She thought of making a quick trip to the Kitchen to see if she could find anything good before heading back to her dorm. As she opened the steel door, she bumped into someone, causing the loose contents of her notebook to fly everywhere. Rose luckily saved the book from any possible damage, but she couldn’t really say the same about herself. She had fallen on her side, a bruise most likely to appear on her left arm along with her other past scars from impact. As she picked up her fallen reading glasses, she began to frantically pick up her belongings with a huge blush on her face. Looking up to apologize to the person she had bumped into. “I-I am so sorry! I should of looked where I was going, are you alright?”

It was completely habitual that Terry would find himself sauntering from his dorm building to the kitchen before heading out to the school's border every evening. He would get two apples, a slice of cheese, and exactly ten crackers; any other number of crackers and he'd end up with an excess of something else. Today, however, seemed to be the universal day for fruit eating. Out of the eight baskets of fruit they laid out every eight hours, only one had a single bit of produce in it, and it was a banana. Magnificent. Terry shrugged at the notion, deciding after a bit of pouting to take the banana along with him. One banana wasn't going to supply enough fructose to compliment the cheese and cracker, but it would have to suffice for now. He only had forty minutes to get to his usual spot.

As he went for the door, head turned in the direction of the congregated first years by the sink, he failed to notice that the door was opening. Due to his sudden inability to pay attention, he collided with someone coming in. There was a sizable difference in their statures and while he stood relatively unscathed—save for the poor banana in his right hand—, she fell to the ground, along with her several belongings. Before doing anything else, he looked the girl over. The brightness of her hair was enough to tell him who she was. Rosaline Clark. They hadn't talked much before, mostly because they weren't associated with the same groups of people.

He bent down to assist her, pushing his banana to his side and then returning some of her papers to what he assumed were their respective destinations. As she spoke, he let a smile finally form on his face. "No harm done, sweetheart," Terry uttered, his tone hinting a sense of humor. "In a hurry to get a late dinner?"

Watching in amusement as she hears the young man ask his first question; looking around the room until his eyes land on her. She almost wanted to smirk, if it wasn’t for the next noise out of his mouth. Hearing him yelp like a wounded animal, Audra raised her eyebrow. “You do that often?” Really not knowing how to feel about that she just crosses her arms and looks at him oddly. She had seen the male around a few times, even recalled his name. But they had never had a conversation. Well until today —-

"Actually, I could believe that. Many haven’t heard my voice. Much less of them know my name." She shrugged softly looking him over again, "That could not be said for you though. I’m sure everyone has heard your voice and knows your name." It was slightly awkward, not one to make conversation she just normally kept to herself. But since they seem to be the only ones about, she tried. Moving a loose curl behind her ear, she allowed her smirk to grace her face as she heard his next response. "A favor they would enjoy too much. I think.." She had to agree with him. "If many things were possible we wouldn’t be in the situations we’re in."

"The yip noise? Not particuarly, no," he replied quickly, only realizing then that he'd even actually made the noise. When she started again, it didn't take Terry long to formulate a reasonable response. His eyebrows raised high up on his face and he flared his nose just a bit. "What can I say? I get around rather decently--"

"--but the getting around does come with a pretty nifty skill. With it, I can piece a few things together about just about anyone on the island. For instance, you're the fourth year Audra Graves with a power that has something to do with vampirism, which, from the rumor mill, entails some sort of enhanced charm. I get that all right? It's been a while since I've played the 'Know Your Classmates' game."

Terry may not have spoken to everyone in every class since he arrived, but he did his best to at least know who they were, what they did, who they talked to, and how long they'd been there. Of course, there were exceptions to his rule. One of whom he'd met not even moments before Audra spoke, but overall, he did okay. Not many could do anything similarly for him, though. While he was perfectly capable of reciting people's names, powers, classes, etc., the only ones who knew anything other than his name and class were the administration. His past wasn't that important of a secret; he just never bothered with sharing.

"Me?" Andrew gave him a chuckle, before turning his head back to the television. They were on about the weather. More heat at the beach, thus more people touring the beach and sampling the ocean. Andrew processed Terry’s words. "Maybe. Who knows? I might be the next public enemy," he somewhat joked, but he thought about it. He had no intentions to. But what made Lance do what he did? Did he really just wake up angry at the world?

A news report about a female superhuman being shot and killed came up on screen. For once, it was sympathetic. A poor child was shot dead on the outskirts of San Diego. Just to think, there used to be a school out there. Andrew looked around to the onlookers; some were agitated, some were heartbroken. Andrew politely turned the channel.

"Andrew, by the way," he said justly.

Even the way Andrew answered to being a criminal suspect was impressively casual. Terry only stated what he did in order to invoke a reaction but when an unusual one was provided, he deduced that he probably could've accused the boy of murdering someone and he'd be given an equally unperturbed response. It wasn't exactly the response he was hoping for, but he would have to remember to expect erratic results when conversing with him. "I wouldn't bet against you just yet, but to be honest, I was just prodding," he finally let out. "So far, you lack the blossoming sociopathic symptoms. I could be wrong later down the line."

After a short survey of the male's face, he decided on looking back at the television. It seemed like today was the day of grieving, both for the humans and the superhumans. Lovely. He was in mid eye-roll when the boy said his name, causing him to immediately shoot him a rather shocked expression. "The pariah...I've heard about you. I'm Terry." His voice lacked its usual peppiness, an observation that shocked even himself. Perhaps he spoke too quickly, forgetting to add in actual depth to his words. He had to remind himself of that, lest he end up sounding like a drone. No one liked talking to a robot.

Walking into the common room, Audra makes he way passing people. Not one for much conversation she sits in back corner and opens her book. Engrossed in the world Sherrilyn Kenyon she takes a moment and glaces up to the television, overhearing the noise about a ‘superhuman terrorist’. Not surprised it seems more and more of these were happening. The conflict between mere humans and superhumans has been nothing but a downwards spiral. 

Closing her book, knowing she wasn’t going to be able to finish it now. After all feeling disgusted at the world. Back to the problem, assimilation of the superhuman race was up in the air. “They want us to assimilate to their way of life, but are ready to condemn us if some superhuman disagree.” She sneered as she glared at the news, “Better yet they condemn us for the ones who do wrong who don’t care, but let one of their own kill us and their a hero.” Pinching the bridge of her nose she thought to herself. ‘Humanity is just sickening either way. No one is better then they other, humans and superhuman bother have flaws…’

Hearing the young lad’s voice brought her out of her thoughts. She had to agreed with him on that note, it was rude. Sighing softly she turns her attention back to the television, she could still she the newscaster going on and on about the superhuman. “Shoudn’t the news talk on all things present?” She could feel her jaw ticking, disgusted she returned back to her book. Again humanity is showing it’s ugliness. Hearing the young man in front of her she almost smirked, “If you did sneeze on a human they might think you were trying to change them, into one of us.” She chuckled darkly, “You would be charged with contamination.”

Blue eyes had followed after the darker girl as she made her way through the lounge area, book in her hand. Not another thought crossed his mind about her as he focused on the news, however, so when a feminine voice chimed in to respond to his comment, Terry was befuddled. A yelp escaped him as he turned around on the couch. "Who said that?" he asked in his confusion. His attention moved from face to face before finally stopping on Audra, the only person who had allowed their gaze to linger on the spectacle that was Terry. "Oh, sorry about that. Could you believe it's actually my first time hearing your voice?"

Realizing he'd not made an appropriate reply to her addition, he began to chuckle a bit. He lifted his right hand to the mess of curls on his head, his fingers getting caught in the coils. "Theoretically, it'd be doing them a favor," he said, letting a smile beam on his face. "That's only if said thing were possible though."

Evie didn’t like speaking from the window. She hated it, honestly. She was no Juliet. She leaped from her perch, but something fun occurred. As she descended, a dark purple energy rose from the earth, creating a open hand. Its fingers were sharp, like claws. It caught Evie and let her down gently to the ground. She touched the ground with a “pomf” noise escaping her. The hand then escaped back into the earth. She beamed at Terry. “Orientation?” she thought on it. Then she decided.

"I’m not going!" she bubbly stated, after a moment of "intense thought". "It’ll be boring. I’m more interested in the stars," she added, pointing to the starry sky. "I already told Mr. Angelo that I wasn’t going," she said. Her bright eyes looked to the ground. "He didn’t like that too much, but he warmed up to the idea."

She placed her hands on her hips, suddenly standing upright and sternly. “You’ll get in trouble, Evangeline,” she was mocking Dr. Angelo. She tried to mock his clever, whimsical way of speaking, but couldn’t get his voice right. It was far too deep. Not like she could with her light, soft vocal range. She giggled at the attempt, returning to her natural position.

Terry watched as Evie made her way out of the window in an unorthodox manner. His eyes alternated between studying the purple matter that molded to aid the girl and watching the girl's reaction to the entire ordeal. It was another habit that he obtained while in the company of others when they used their powers, and with Evie, he could tell she wasn't in absolute control of it. Based solely on her reaction, he was certain she wasn't even aware that the shady substance would rise up to reduce the velocity of her fall. 'Truly fascinating,' he thought to himself, his usual smile stretching across his face.

Her attempt to replicate Mr. Angelo's voice was more than amusing to Terry. Even with the airy overtone that came with Evie's voice, the staff member's usual suaveness still managed to ring through. "You'll miss the opportunity to play the 'How many times can the term Superhumans be used in a speech?' game this year. I'm betting on the sixteen-seventeen range. Nineteen if it's Principal Fortune."
