you’re not from around here , are you? i figured because you totally just missed SARIN SARASIN walking by. don’t tell me you don’t know who HE is ? they kind of look like NATACHAI 'DUNK' BOONPRASERT and i could be wrong but i think that they might be TWENTY - SIX years old right now. they’ve been living in palmview for the last FOUR MONTHS. and i don’t know if anyone has ever told them this before but they kind of remind me of CHANDLER BING from FRIENDS. if you stick around the town long enough you might catch them in action working at NOISZE MAGAZINE as an EDITORIAL STYLIST. you see this town isn’t really that big of a place, some folks like to call them the WISECRACKER of palmview! they took a liking to the name too after a while, go figure. oh crap, they must have heard me yapping. they’re coming this way. i got to warn you though, rumor has it they can pretty OUTSPOKEN at times. i wouldn’t take it too seriously though, from the times i’ve spoken to them they seemed pretty ZESTFUL to me. we see each other all the time since they live in that FOUR - BEDROOM residence beside me over in PELICAN PLACE / #353. i better leave you to it. it was nice meeting you!

When another thought of the exit pops up in his head again, he fights against it by reminding himself that he was supposed to try something new today. Turning to the fellow participant next to him, he asks with a smile as he attempts to focus on the task at hand. “Soooo who will you be making this for?” He picks up a couple of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and studies them as he wonders if they’d make a good fit as the foliage of his bouquet. “I didn’t know picking out the type of foliage would be this difficult. Ah, maybe it’s just me who’s making this unnecessarily hard for myself.”

"god, she's gorgeous," natalia breathed out, reaching out to hold the fabric of the dress between her fingers, a reverent sigh escaping her lips. she didn't know how to explain exactly how much relief she felt when she was around sarin. there was a familiarity to it, someone that reminded her of the luxury and excitement of living back home, but without any of the stress, anger, or guilt that came from living near her family. it was the perfect scenario, and frankly if she could bottle it up and live in this feeling forever, she probably would. she was born for adventures like this, and god if that pink dress wasn't calling her name immediately.

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤSARIN KEEPS HIS GAZE ON HER RATHER INTENTLY, trying to get a feel of what she really thinks but if he’s not mistaken, she actually seems captivated by his selection. “You’re gorgeous. You and this dress would be like a sweet dream come true.” Shuffling over to the other rack, he makes a quick riffle of the different clothing items while carefully assessing them. “Yes, and I will personally arrest you.” Sarin tears his gaze from the rack in front of him to shift his attention to Natalia, sticking his tongue out at her when he meets her eyes. “Oh. You know the new Victorian inspired cosmetics brand, Bloom? Yes, that one. Huge launch and all. You’ll be taking home plenty of freebies too!”

alyssa watched as sarin began to pull up the mood boards. the theme that the cilent was going for had seemed doable. the blonde immediately getting an idea in her mind about what might've specifically worked. " listen, it's fine. it's not like i haven't been under pressure before. " she'd say, a smile forming along her features now. " i'm sure we've got to have some metallic and silver related fabric around here somewhere. " the moodboard and the visuals were enough to help her figure out what she had mostly wanted to go with. " 3 days ... ? they're just giving you 3 days to be able to do this ? oh wow.. they certainly aren't wasting anytime, i see. " she might've had some ideas in her sketchbook that she could've used for some more slight inspiration too. knowing that the time limit was only 3 days was putting more pressure than alyssa had thought she would've been under. however, when she was determined ? she believed that she could get anything done if she were to focus on it hard enough. " i can work with this... we might've had some items from some pieces we didn't use. i could try putting those together. see what it is that i can come up with if it's to their liking before the photoshoot day. "

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤINDEED, PRESSURE WASN’T SOMETHING NEW to them but it helps that Alyssa was taking this better than he was. She was so calm and grounded which puts Sarin a little more at ease now. “Mhm.” Sarin lets out a huff and rests both of his hands on his hips. “Just three days. This is why I’m calling them spawns of satan.” Taking a step closer, he rests a hand gently on her back, “I’ll be here to assist you and I’ll make damn sure that diva from hell will love everything we’ve prepared so hard for. I don’t care if I have to strangle her in front of everyone, I will see that she wears every single thing.” Clasping both hands together, there’s a burst of motivation and hope in his eyes this time. “Alright, let’s rock this shit, Alyssa!”

the smile demian was wearing reached their eyes with a notorious spark when sarin greeted back.   they were so excited about this,  about their project together,  they couldn’t help the thrill running down their spine.   “   easy as pie,   ”   he repeated,   “   i’m glad to hear that !   ”   demian looked around then,  searching for the easiest,  less packed way to get out of there,  and once he found it he turned back to sarin.   “   okay,  we need to get out of here,  because our tour starts in that alley over there,   ”   they pointed to a colorful passage just a few meters away from them,  and then started moving,  their right hand extended behind them so sarin could take it if he wanted.   “   we’re going to see some murals that were painted in this alley,  they have that urban touch that i think could be great to add to the collection.   ”   he yelled,  trying to be heard above the music and the chatting surrounding them as he advanced through the crowd.

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤHE LOOKS UP AHEAD AT THE ALLEY, full of colours and looking very inviting. “Lead the way, Cap!” He easily breaks into a soft smile at the warm gesture and did not hesitate to slip his hand into Demian’s. “I won’t have to worry about getting lost now.” Moving against the flow of the crowd was a bit of a struggle but they made it anyway and Sarin was just glad that they had a bit of space to breathe now. “So what do you do exactly? Besides being gorgeous and all that.” Sarin gazes at the variety of designs that came to life on these walls and immediately feels a thrilling rush of inspiration course through him. “Wow…” He utters softly to himself. “Did you work on any of these, Demian?”

“oh,  i  know  it  does  —  ”  he's  spent  far  too  many  hours  before  the  sun  had  even  risen  looking  online  at  various  topics  just  to  see,  rabbit  holes  turn  into  molehills.  “but  if  you're  internet  history  gets  tracked,  they'll  know  it's  your.  being  incognito  doesn't  mean  shit  to  your  web  host.”  he  would  not  know  from  experience!  prays  to  god  sarin  has  a  vpn.  “you  could  do  it.  you're,  like,  perfect  for  it  ‘cause  no  one  would  suspect  you.  they  always  go  for  the  first  thought-of  person.”  someone  stupid  enough  to  not  know  how  to  get  away  with  it,  like  sage.  “have  you  considered  talking  to  him?  unless  he’s  a  total  asshat,  then  i'd  say  poison  is  the  way  to  go  forreal.”

Sarin immediately turns still as a rush of curses bounces about in his head. “No.” He shakes his head before turning to look at Sage like the lightbulb within him has turned on. “I could say that this was all just research for a thriller novel I’m writing. Authors don’t go to jail for this.” He narrows his eyes and hums to himself as he ponders over Sage’s words. “Now what exactly do you mean by that? Are you saying I look innocent enough to ‘get away with it’?” Amused by the idea, Sarin throws his head back with a hearty laughter before calming himself down after to answer another question. “I have, I have. Each time I bring up something, they’ll make sure to respond back twice the amount. So if I’m complaining about their music being a little too loud for a cozy night in, they’ll punish me by turning up the volume instead. The poison plan was just my… well, you could call it a last resort.” Slowly sinking into his seat, staring up ahead into space, he utters softly, “I could always move out. Find a new place.”

sullivan tries, just for a second, to simply ignore the voice coming from behind him - if only to further enrage sarin, for the fun of it, before turning his head with feigned surprise, barely even trying to hide the delight on his face as he realizes he can both get ahead of the line, and mess with his neighbor. win-win. shaping up to be a great day. "oh, hey, buddy! how's it going?" sarin was pissed, he could see it on his face clear as day, and it only has sully practically giggling with joy, the more irritated the other man becomes. "nah, it's cool. i was up here before, just had to go grab something, but thanks for saving my spot for me! you're a real one."

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤWITH THE AMOUNT OF AUDACITY THAT this man had, Sarin wishes he could just shove that stainless steel ice cream scoop into Sullivan’s mouth. Of course, it stays just as an intrusive thought in his head because he had another plan in mind, something far more possible. Oh, yes, his payback will come in just about a couple of minutes or so. “Right, sorry, my bad.” Then, he decides to stay silent as he waits for Sullivan’s turn at the counter. Immediately closing the distance between them oh-so-subtly, Sarin blurts out his order at the perfect timing right after Sullivan was done with his. “A scoop each of caramel, coconut and cookies & cream with sprinkles on top please.” Grinning at the staff, Sarin pats Sullivan on his back and raises his voice slightly, “Damn. Thanks Daddy!” Not wasting another second more, he takes long strides over to the pick-up area, hoping to make a quick dash once he gets his hands on the icy treat.

hadley nodded her head in sarin's direction. " i usually like to think that i'm pretty good when it comes to reading people.. sometimes.. keyword here is sometimes. but i can absolutely tell. but don't you worry ! as long as you've got some energy in you for the day ? i think that you'll be okay." she reached over for a cup and the pot to get sarin's hot and iced chocolate ready. " you got it ! is there anything else that i can get for you while you're here ? " she'd ask, making sure to get started on making his beverage for the day. " i seem to not have the same annoyance as everyone else when it comes to mornings.. don't know where that comes from because i do have my days where i'd prefer to snooze my alarm, you know ? " she listened to sarin's words, capping up his beverages before sliding them over. " trouble at work is what i'm hearing ? while i'm not in the fashion industry.. i do love it. do you work at the fashion house ? i hear good things about that place almost all the time. it seems to me like they've got you working extra hard. maybe come a little extra prepared. i feel like i always need to make sure to be thorough with things, just incase i need to be. "

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤSARIN SHUFFLES OVER TO THE FURTHER END of the counter, not wanting to disrupt the flow by being in anyone’s way. “I’m good, thank you. These drinks should be enough for now. Once I have some chocolate in my system, I think I’ll be able to function at my two hundred percent. People have their coffee, I have my chocolate. There’s a small bit of caffeine in chocolate though, right?” He hums to himself, shrugs his shoulders and fixes a stray lock that fell over his eyes, “There are bad mornings, there are good mornings. It’s just how we deal with them.” When the drinks were placed right in front of him, his eyes instantly brightens at the sight of them. “No, I actually work for a magazine company. We’re decent sized and things usually run well unless our clients decide to turn into the devil himself. Oh, the super awesome Alyssa at the fashion house would never give me hell, she’s too sweet to do that to me.” He grabs two straws and then shakes his head, clearly not prepared to face the rest of the day.

⋆.°    ᝰ.ᐟ     maxine flips open the picnic basket and sets down various containers filled with different types of picnic foods  ––  a charcuterie board,  pasta salad,  pastries from sunshine bakery to name a few.  “  so i think i may have gone a little overboard.  but better to have your options,  right  ?  ”  she chuckles.  “  and last but not least,  ”  she pulls out a bottle of wine.  “  i hope you’re okay with pinot grigio.  i’m more partial to a good sauvignon blanc but i went with a safer choice.  ”

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤSARIN HAS ALSO PREPARED SOME OF HIS OWN, like mini meat pies and mini lemon cupcakes. Living apart from each other over the years made it impossible to do everything together when time was limited so he is thankful for today. “Pi, you don’t have to worry about ‘overboard’ when it comes to food. I can literally inhale anything. You’ll be taking home crumbs.” He flashes his cousin a cheeky grin as he sets two aluminium foil trays on their picnic mat and removes the clear plastic lids. “I’m not picky with my alcohol because whatever I drink will make me tipsy within a short amount of time anyway. I’m hopeless like that.” A sheepish chuckle escapes from his lips when he picks up a fork to help himself to a serving of pasta salad. “So what’s new these days? Anything interesting or juicy to share?” He wiggles his brows at her.

the art district was bustling with energy and colors as demian made their way through the crowd.   the place wasn’t packed,  but it was hosting a larger group than usual,  people from all walks of life,  all of them gathered together with a single interest in common:  art.   demian’s heart vibrated between their ribs at the thought,  an uncontrollable smile perched on their features that didn’t do anything but grow when they spotted sarin among the masses.   “   hey !   here you are,   ”   he greeted,  slightly out of breath.   he had been afraid that finding him in the crowd would be a difficult quest.   “   everything okay ?   was it too hard to get here ?   ”   bouncing on his feet due to his excitement,  demian asked,  expectantly waiting for his chance to tell sarin all about the spots they will be visiting today to get inspiration for the collaboration they will be working on.

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤIT’S CRAZY HOW IT ISN’T HIS FIRST TIME meeting Demian but that guy could turn heads and it’s making Sarin giddy. At least the guy was a great distraction from the clusters of people all around. Upon hearing the familiar voice, he immediately snaps out of it and turns to wave at Demian with a fond smile on his face. “Hello!” His greeting is chirpy and his eyes are sparkling as he closes the distance between them. “I thought I would struggle but hey, I made it! Easy as pie.” A hearty chuckle leaves his lips from the excitement bubbling within him. “I’m looking forward to whatever you have planned for today.” With the other as his companion, Sarin thinks he could tolerate the crowd a bit better. Besides, this was partly for work too so he needs to focus. From what he has seen so far, it certainly isn’t a surprise that the beauty of all the art here in this district would draw such a crowd. For bonus points, it also makes a perfect spot for photos.

So the whole show was in bold and lively colours. Sparkly too, obviously diving right into the pride expression. I especially liked the three-toned gradient piece with the cinched bodice that was paired with the voluminous skirt. Overall, it was glamorous just like what pride is supposed to be — loud and proud.” He gently nudges her side with a smile, “What about you? Did you have a favourite look?”

₊ ✵ ⁺ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤSARIN TAKES IT OFF THE RACK, a piece he had been eyeing since they entered the store. It was a corset dress in soft powder pink, flowing into a full maxi tulle from the waist down. He holds it up with a smile of satisfaction, “This is exactly what I had in mind. The cosmetic brand follows a Victorian concept so you’ll fit right in with the theme. What do you think?” He was more than happy to style Natalia but he also wanted to make sure that she actually liked what she was wearing and most importantly, that she was comfortable in it. “If you see something else you like, let me know. Whatever it is, we’re going to go home with them, okay?” The launch party is only happening tomorrow evening so the both of them had plenty of time to spare today and spend the day together.

As if Sarin had a soft spot for her. As if! This whole thing was highly likely because of his stubbornness and his competitiveness. It wasn’t even a real challenge to him but alas, Sarin cannot read the signs, refuses to, so he’s going along with all the silly trials just because he can. Up ahead, he spots a singing booth and quickly waves at the staff-in-charge with a mischievous glint in his eye. “My best friend here is itching to sing something! Oh, Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive? You love that song, babe!” He nudges Martina’s side with a cheeky smile and gestures towards the platform with a microphone stand in the middle. “Go on and show the world what you’re made of.”

“so  —  ”   this  starts  off  quiet,  because  as  much  as  he  loves  the  theoretical  idea  of  some  kind  of  messy  murder  drama  a-la  lifetime,  sage  does  not  look  cute  in  prison  orange.  really  washes  him  out.  sits,  scrolling  on  his  phone  before  locking  it,  placing  it  face-down,  pointedly  so  on  the  table  in  front  of  him.  “what's  this  business  about  you  poisoning  someone?  'cause,  really,  i  think  you  might  be  better  off  watching  law  and  order  instead  of  asking  reddit  of  all  places.”

Some of these people are actually pulling some shady shit and might just supply me with all the help I need.” For a second there, he has a rather serious look on his face but it quickly softens after as he breaks into a grin. “It was a joke, I promise! I’m not stupid or bold enough to commit a crime.” He shakes his head and shares about his little situation, “Well, it’s just this guy. My neighbour who crawled from hell, I just know it. Turns the music way up at night, tries to piss me off in whatever way he can. Such a pest.”

He was terrible with advice but he still has a kind heart so what he would not do is leave James hanging in silence. “Uh…” He purses his lips, putting himself in an imaginary situation before he comes to an answer. “It would depend on who they were to me and what our relationship was like. If they were an old friend, I would like to reconnect and if it’s someone I wouldn’t see myself associating with then I would probably treat them invisible. Harsh but I don’t think I want that kind of stress in my life again, y’know?” He shrugs his shoulders and hums to himself. “People can change over the years, sure, but the paper we shared is now all crumpled and stained. Nothing could restore it back its original state.” Sarin grows silent immediately, realizing that he had rambled on a little too much. Nudging James’ knee with his, he raises his brows inquisitively, “Huh. So what happened this weekend?”

“He won’t bite you.” Arturo assures with a point as Hubert, his orange Maine Coon, leashed and enjoying the warm sunshine, stretches out next to another sitting in the sand of the beach. He clicks his tongue, getting the cat’s attention long enough to place a small cup of whipped cream in the sand between his knees as he sits in their usual spot. “Might kick sand at you though. Sorry in advance.”

And this whole time here, I was worried about my sand-kicking habit. Guess your Maine Coon and I would get along just fine. Does he take it just as well as he attacks?” He inquires with a slight lift of his lips, all attention now fixed on the owner instead.
