New Colliers report for retail that just came out confirms the trends we’ve been talking about in the last few months. Vacancies in Miami-Dade county are still at historic lows around 3%-3.5% with some markets, like Aventura, at under 1%!!! And as the market in Miami gets oversaturated, businesses are looking closer towards Broward where just in the last two years vacancy dropped from 6% to 3.5%! By looking at the recent sales and leasing activity, we see that retail is still as strong as ever with health and beauty services, restaurants and discounters are filling pretty confident and opening new locations.
