I am Incredible

Who Am I? I'm the head guard. I'm a sister. I'm a daughter. I'm a fianceé. I'm a protector, I'm not a fighter. I'm shy and sarcastic. I'm gentle and confident. I use to hide myself as a kid and in a way i still do. But I can't please everyone and I can assure you I'm making sure I'm happy and the ones I love are happy. That's who I am. I am Incredible.

“Shit….” Riley of course knew at this point that a lot of the villains would go after loved ones of their actual targets because typically it hurt them more. What she wasn’t expecting was for Adia to be sitting in between both of them purely because of who she was associated with. “She must be pretty stoked that both of them are gone now.”

“Probably. I mean one of them is the reason her friend is dying so I’m not too sure that’s a good thing or not. Either way it’s easier to keep her safe so I know Hadley is probably happier about that.” And she did try to look out for the girl because she was good friends with Hadley.

“Oh! Well, I’m very thankful to all the guards, truly, including you. Cheryl and Evelyn…I’m not friends with either one at all. I’ll feel much better once they’re gone, honestly. I stayed away before, and that didn’t work. They found me anyway, Zaiden has some sort of magic powers or something. Germany! I lived in Germany too!”

“So you keep avoiding and adapting. You have two brothers here that can help do you not? Zaiden has magic but so do many of the guards people like him aren’t that tough to take down they just think that are and as long as the magic limiting cuffs stay on he’s not a threat to anyone.”

“Two seconds? a day? You can’t know how we would have gone about it because you took matters into your own hands. Just because you don’t see us working on arresting people doesn’t mean we aren’t. None the less your knife is currently with a guard and I’ll make sure it stays like that. Proving yourself to get it back won’t happen after a couple months it takes time and apparently more time than you have patience for. But we’re not kicking you out or throwing you in the dungeons so don’t act like we’re not giving you a fair shot. Now if that’s all you wanted from me kindly exit my office.”

“Many people can handle their own wounds. Sure you got it started but that could have ended a million other ways. She hurt one person we’ve had worse and we’ve handled worse. We would have handled it.”

“Oh that makes sense that he would do that.” After hearing from Adia that the two were so close, it really did make sense that Hadley would want to look out for her and teach her how to defend herself and fight back. “Between them? But there was no relation? Why go after someone that they shouldn’t even be targeting?”

“They both targetted friends and family of those that were their actual target, Adia happened to be both for both families. It’s how a lot of villains work. Attacking the loved ones first.”

“You must do a good job if you caught Maxwell and Zaiden. I am worried still, but not over those two. I can’t imagine running for my life all the time, here’s to hoping it never happens again. You can leave? So you’re used to the freedom then, other than working a lot. Did you at least get out of this area? I can’t imagine your fiancé’s parents live nearby.”

“Two of my other guards did. I won’t take the credit for that. Cheryl still needs to be dealt with and I don’t know if Evelyn needs to be arrested or not at this rate. It’s only not going to happen again if you’re aware of them and stay away from them. Well I’m not here for protection I have my days off as well. I did, he lives in Germany normally.”

“That’s what I thought too.” Riley replied with a nod. “I mean, I don’t know Adia as well as you do probably, but I really never got the impression that she would do it just for fun, you know?” It just wasn’t something she saw Adia doing for something unjustified. “Again?” She questioned, trying to remember if she had heard anything about it.

“Pretty much. I know Hadley taught her before he left too so I’m really not too surprised.” She sighed with a shrug running her hand through her hair knowing she wanted to talk to Adia about it as well. “Back when Kyros and Xander were here. Somehow she was always targetted.”

“I like to try to see the good in people, but I know you’re right. More often than not, people lie about who they are. I’m sure that family is no exception, other than Chandler. It sounds like a well-deserved vacation, then. How was it, getting to leave?”

“It’s a good view but not when you’re basically running for your life. I’ve seen it plenty of times it just happens again and again. It’s not anything special, it’s nice not to work but unlike 90% of the people here I’m not required to stay on the grounds.”

“Yeah, I’m working on questioning the guy that she shot now. She came to me right after, and was completely straight about what happened and why she did it. She said that he hadn’t hurt her, but because of everything he had done to her in the past, she felt like she was in danger and acted on it. I really don’t blame her for doing it honestly.”

“I’m not too worried about her. In the end of it all I know her character. I’ve taught her how to defend herself long enough. Not sure I condone the violence method but I do know how bad that family is. It’s better she’s willing to protect herself then let herself end up in the infirmary....again.”

“The place is standing so it looks like it went well enough plus two arrests though I’m a little curious about Adia shooting someone.”

“Both were a fairly united threat. I am a little worried about Cheryl; Evelyn seems to be nowhere near as bad as Maxwell was. I’m not saying I trust her, but she says she’s changed. That sounds fun, at least you got out for a while. It sounds like it went well.”

“Plenty of people will say that they have changed it doesn’t mean they have. Words are useless around here. Well working here does mean I’m allowed vacations every once in awhile thankfully.”
