I have a question about energy vampires, specifically about how they interact with empaths and the like. I've been /told/ I'm empathic and "spiritually strong" (idk if I believe it but that's not the point). I remember hearing somewhere that energy vampires are drawn to empaths and other "spiritually strong" individuals. I've always taken this to be false, as I'm pretty sure empath =/= donor. Do you know of some resources on this or are you willing to give your opinion? Thank you in advance!

Woops I thought I already answered this. Long story short not all empathic people are spiritually strong and neither of those things are necessarily what vamps are looking for in a feed. On top of that you’re absolutely right that empaths are not our only donors. Basically most vamps have an energy type they like to feed on (mine is sexual energy!) and they will usually look for people who put off that type. And just because we’re drawn to people doesn’t mean we’re necessarily out to prey on certain types but by the sound of it I think you already suspect that at least. Magickal Uses for Kisses

A kiss is a very powerful thing, even in fairytales and lore of the past the power of kisses are told of (true love’s kiss, siren/mermaid kiss, first kiss, etc). a kiss can be a powerful tool for any witch. Here are a few suggestions for using kisses and the power they hold.

Use a kiss to charge objects: crystals, tarot cards, charms, amulets, etc etc. Use it to send your emotions and energy into the object. Love is a good emotion, but any positive energies you wish to charge the object with can be transferred this way. Adding your love to something can really give it a boost as well! Especially if it is for another to use. (Note: do not kiss toxic stones please! Be safe and smart)

Spell Sealing: Use a kiss to magically seal spells such as jar and bottle spells or use it to strengthen a (cooled!) wax seal. Imagine placing the kiss its like placing an invisible seal upon it, stamping in energy to lock th spell inside. 

For Air and Wind spells: For all of my fellow witches who use air and wind spells, blowing a kiss after a chant or spell to summon a wind in the direction you wish it to blow is a good way to guide the wind but also show it positive reinforcement. Use it to show your gratitude for the wind’s cooperation. It is best for gentler wind spells.

Glamour and Beauty spells: Kiss the mirror after a beauty or glamour spell. Thank the mirror for its aid and seal any negativity into it. It also a wonderful way to reflect love back at yourself!

Love Spells: Kisses are great for powering up love spells! Kiss a candle before lighting it (careful if you are using essential oils be sure not to kiss where they are), kiss the written name of the one you desire, kiss a charm or amulet to help bring love into your life, and finally blow a kiss when finishing the the spell to close it.

Kitchen Magic: blow a kiss to finish a dish (don’t be too close though, don’t want to spread germs) to put a final charge of love into it before serving it to others. Good for with tea and coffee spells too!

Public Magic: Want to remain discrete while casting a spell in public? Blow a kiss! Its much subtler than pointing or hand motions, especially if it is a positive spell you are casting on another or a friend but it is also good for curses, either way its a wonderful way to send your intentions. Whisper the words or chant needed for the spell (if any) under your breath, imagine them them gathering in an orb of energy at your lips as you do so. Then do a subtle kiss motion on your lips (no hands and no ‘fish lips’, you are trying to be subtle). Then release the energy and words towards the target with a gentle blow of breath, sending the ball of energy in that direction.

Mourning/Remembrance Rituals: Ending such a ritual with a blown kiss to close it can help release your feelings in a positive manner and close the ritual with love and sincerity. 

Thanking tools: As someone who uses tarot cards and many other divination tools, I like to place gentle kisses to the sides of the decks after using them to help bond with them. To show them my gratitude for assisting me in not only readings but also in my spell work. I also before days where I know i will be doing a lot of divination work, I will kiss them to help charge them up (as said above). It is an excellent way to bond with your tools!

Vampirism 101

This post is strictly to teach what being a vampirism is and what it isn’t, it is to clear up any misinterpretations, not for people to engage in learned vampirism, which does not equate to natural psychic vampirism. This is not just going to be one post as there is a lot to cover, this is going to be a series on this blog.  So, if you want to read more about vampirism, from the viewpoint of a vampire you should follow my blog.

What is Psychic Vampirism? Psychic vampirism is exactly how it sounds.  It is a condition, now I say condition not as in a bad way such as an ailment, I say condition as a state of being, much like the “human condition.”  Vampirism is a condition where one individual needs to drain energy from a source and take it in because they cannot regulate or create enough of their energy on their own for whatever reason. The main ideas of why vampires cannot regulate their own energy is because of a missing, disconnected or damaged connection to the universal natural energies. The one in question is typically the Ba, centered in the stomach (this is based on the Egyptian idea of energy centers).  There are many ideas on how or why people are psychic vampires.  

Why do Psychic Vampires feed? The main stigma is “why do psychic vampires want to feed off of people,” this is because it is not a “want of energy” this is a NEED of energy.  This exchange of energy is as real as a mundane person eating food for energy, all vampires, even vampires who do not know they are vampires need to feed off of energy, whether it be consciously or subconsciously. Without feeding an appropriate amount over an extended period, a vampire will grow lethargic and sickly, often to the point of near non-functionality.  This can lead to chronic illness, and only stops because it gets to a point when the sub-conscious mind can then deal with the illness and lessen the effects, the key word here is lessen, not stop, there is no “cure” for vampirism, just as there is no cure to humanity.

How can one “become” Psychic Vampire Simply put YOU CANNOT BECOME A PSYCHIC VAMPIRE There is no spell or ritual to become a psychic vampire.  If you are a vampire you either recognize you are a vampire (if you are one) and undergo the awakening process or stay a vampire only in your subconscious, in which case your subconscious mind will take care of your feeding.  Not everyone is born a psychic vampire; the condition is not something you can pick up later in life.   Now, do not get me wrong there are cases where one can “become” sort of a pseudo-psychic vampire, these are known as sympathetic vampires, but this is not the same as true psychic vampirism, this is because Psychic Vampirism is a condition that one is born with, this can either lay dormant within the subconscious mind or be embraced by the conscious mind as previously stated.  These types of “pseudo-vampires” sympathetic vampires, are deemed learned vampires or secondary vampires by the “vampire community,”.  Now I will explain the top cases on how this happens 1.)   Sympathetic Vampire: A sympathetic vampire is a person that has been fed on by a vampire for so long that their energy cannot recover normally, because of this the body and the mind make a need for energy and starts absorbing energy like the vampire that fed off them.  This is the most common form of learned Vampirism and usually happens subconsciously in the sympathetic vampire.  This condition is not permeant and will go away once the drained person’s energy returns to normal. 2.)   Necromantic Vampire: this is a rare case but well known among the well-read left-hand witches.  If one takes in too much death energy, like for instance one practiced necromancy, then the body would start to shut down because of the death energy taking a toll on them, because of this they then have a need for the energy and then start to) feed to regain energy.  In this case, it is permeant as the necromancer/magus/witch will always utilize death energy, which will always take a toll on them.

What is the “vampire community?” The “vampire community” simply does not exist as an established body or authority, this is not some anime where all the vampires hang out in a cellar, now, do not get me wrong there are house/clans/lodges of psychic vampires, but there is no central community or leader, just like in paganism there is no central body of the community, it is not organized.  There has never been a central community simply because there is no need of a central community, the vampirism condition affects everyone differently, because of this they can be separated into different houses/lodges/clans, it is also widely known that we “stick to the shadows” because we are often viewed as evil by empaths and other practioners of magick.   There are famous houses and “leaders” (usually authors or “powerful” vampires) which make up the “vampire community,” but there is no central vampire community as vampirism is still seen as a taboo even in the occult world. Famous clans/houses would be; the infamous “Temple of the Vampire”, House Kheperu which the famous author Michelle Belanger writes for, another author is “Father Sebastian” who is in charge of the “sabretooth clan”.   Many authors do not even publish their works in the name because of infighting within the community.  Vampirism is so diverse that many vampires will call-out some authors as awful or sell-outs because they’re the body does not function like theirs do. Vampire houses/clans/lodges etc. are often compared to covens, but this is not the case because vampires do share another bond with one another, especially if they know their culture and the real value of that bond.  This is very different from covens of witches because the bond I spoke of is usually an actual magickal bond; they can know what each other is thinking, how they are feeling, what they need, etc., etc…  This bond with one another is the final defining factor that separates natural vampires from learned vampires.

How can I tell if I am around a psychic vampire? First, you want to rule out if you are getting sick or not, many people that run to me and think they are being attacked by a psychic vampire are usually dehydrated, fatigued, or becoming ill. But you will feel these symptoms IF you truly are being drained by a psychic vampire, most vampires will not feed off a single person, it will usually be a crowd (see ambient feeding), but I can only speak for myself and others that I have spoken to Exhaustion, you will feel very tired and fatigued from being too close to a psychic vampire, especially if you stand in the proximity of their aura.  (about an arm’s length away)  Obviously, vampirism takes energy from a source if you are fed on you become that source of energy, so you will (obviously) become tired both physically and metaphysically.   Confusion, your mind will start to race and bring up old memories that triggered certain emotions, this is because during feedings the vampire could select an emotion to feed off of bringing up certain memories tied to that emotion.  The most common emotions are fear, anger, or sometimes joy or love, very potent emotions are the easiest to trigger.  Along with the confusion mental fogginess or memory loss could come after, because your subtle body is trying to cleanse itself. Unexplained discomfort and unease Post feeding you can feel very uneasy in a state that is almost dissociative, or strangely content and tired. It should be noted that the feeling of being fed on can also be strangely pleasurable or even euphoric depending on the vampire in question. Vampires can even purposely attempt to make it so if they know what they’re doing. Many people who do encounter Psychic vampires and get fed off of can feel these symptoms when they think about the vampire post feeding; this is because Psychic Vampire feeds off of energy, while you are thinking of this vampire you are sending energy to this person from your thoughts.  It is that simple.

Who feeds the vampires? There are people that are referred to as donors that do willingly give psychic vampires the energy that they need.  In fact, there is even a donor’s bill of rights which you can read here. Most donors are usually very involved in the vampire's’ life or their community, either platonically or romantically.   There is also the term “Black Swans” who will feed any vampire that is in need, as these people usually have a very high energy, but if they aren’t careful, they usually become what is known as “sympathetic vampire”. Donors always have the choice to feed the vampire or not, in fact, donors are the framework of the vampire community.  The whole myth of vampires sulking around for people to feed on does not exist in the larger part of today’s vampire community.  If you are a part of a community or house, you will most always have a donor or several; there are also houses where vampires feed on one another if their energy matches.  (check the donor’s bill of rights above for more info) Vampires are considerate; they will take into account everyone else’s energy and be sensitive to it, because of this they usually will not feed on a random person, that usually only happens with the subconscious and learned vampires.

Why do people feed vampires? Many view vampiric feeding as one sided or even parasitic.  This is the biggest misconception in the occult community.   The relationship between a vampire and their donor(s) is very unique.  What usually happens is the donor cannot regulate their own energy, but in the donor’s case, they have too much energy, so the vampire only takes the excess energy.  This allows the donor to function at a normal level of energy (metaphysically speaking) The act of psychic vampirism is energy work, the vampire pulls energy from someone into them, if you work with energy you know that this can be very good for both parties involved.  The donors can get their energetic body cleaned when they are fed off of by psychic vampires.  They can also get a rush of emotions, good or bad.  Vampiric feedings, like all of works of energy can be very therapeutic for the person being fed from (the donor).  

What is the awakening process? Throughout this post I have mentioned “the awakening process” here I will explain it in more depth.  When a psychic vampire goes from their normal dormant subconscious state to a conscious state, a change occurs this process is known as awakening. “Recognition brings awakening and awakening bring recollection of Self.  As we remember, we become.” -Michelle Belanger When the vampire begins to recognize they are a vampire, this process starts, this awakening.   They must maintain their feedings as, they are beginning to regulate their energy conscientiously.  When this happens, all those subconscious acts become conscious and many things about yourself become clear.  Now this process does not just happen overnight, for some it may, but those are rare cases, this usually happens over the course of weeks and months, after this process start you become what is called a dedicant in the vampire community.  This is sort of a juvenile stage where you are learning everything on your own; I like to compare it to vampire puberty.  

Are you a psychic vampire?  Signs and hints Now this section I will talk about some signs that you are a psychic vampire.   Many people who are psychic vampires, especially if they are a questioning vamp will constantly be told that people are tired after hanging out with them.  A very good indication of if you are a vampire or not is if people around you grow more lethargic around you.  This could be your best friend or the annoying kid who sits next to you in class If you are hungry, for energy I mean, you will sometimes stir up emotions in others, this could be by starting petty fights with friends or saying something to get under someone else’s skin.  Basically, you will do whatever causes an emotional response as psychic vampires can feed off the energy related to emotions.   Now, if you are a vampire or have interested in vampirism, you can come join an discord server here.  This server is 18+ and run by my fellow friend and vampire Violet (blog here) Quick shoutout to her for being an overall badass and making that server. Vampirism Q and A

Many people liked my first lecture on psychic vampirism (link here) so I am making this second part on it, but this is a Q+A.  This are questions people had more me after I posted my lecture and questions I get regularly in general.  I suggest you read that lecture first or else you will be lost in this post.

Also, I know some other vampires are going to be reading this, so as the kids say “sup”.

But before we begin some side notes.  

There aren’t different “forms” of psychic vampirism, either you are a vampire or you are not.  Now, here are different types of feeding, but that does NOT mean there are different types of vampires.  This is something that a lot of people had a hard time grasping last lecture I posted.  Just because a vampire can feed better on psychic or sexual vampire does not mean they can only have that type of energy, it is their preferred method of feeding.  Now some vampires do have a hard time utilizing other energies, yes, but energy is energy no matter what shape it takes.  Now on to the questions.

Does a psychic vampire need a donor?  Do they need to feed from people?

The energy required to maintain a psychic vampire varies from induvial to induvial, some do in fact NEED to feed from a human donor, some need no donors, others can sustain themselves from random people or with ambient feeding (like myself).  If a person chooses a donor it is both of their decision and I hope that they would do it correctly and safely.

What happens to a vampire if they don’t feed?

Now I said previously that a vampire can get sick if they do not feed, but many people overlooked how serious it can be.  A vampire can get so sick they can develop chronic illnesses, and in some cases worse. There is an interview with a renowned psychic vampire Michelle Belanger, who stopped feeding for a time and she developed serious heart issues, then when she started to feed again, she was cured and the doctors didn’t know why or how.  I myself get heart palpitations, get very hungry or fatigued when I do not feed for an extended period of time, I have never let it get to bad as I keep batteries of energy on hand.

What are some other types of feed?  (I assume you mean not covered in my last lecture)

Dumb-feeding= when a vampire can feed from the elements themselves, some can even feed even the sun.

Are you immortal?

…really?  No, nothing is immortal everyone lives and dies, sorry to break it to you.  Do we have extended lives?  Not we do not, but from the vampires I have met we are usually healthier than the average person.  This myth came about (from my understanding at least) is that psychic vampirism can be a genetic trait in a family, so if a mother has the vampiric “gene” so to speak, the child she had would also be a vampire, in most cases (again in my experience).  

Another special case of this is House Kheperu, which the vampires of this house all say that they are vampires throughout all their past lives.  (it is more complicated than that, but I am not going to get into that right now)

Is the whole staking thing accurate?  Does a stake kill a vampire? (asked by the same person in the last question)

Well kids this is one of my favorite questions, honestly, I have not gotten this one before.  I mean the myth is if you stab a vampire in the heart, but I assume that would kill most people, would it not?

Also, dude you do realize we are still human right?  We are not immortal (however I love My Immortal, it is a great fanfic), we do die, we do not burst into flames at sunlight.

What do you say to skeptics?

Depends, what do you say to an overly racist bigot?  There are just some people just will not be swayed, look at the news for example. However, when people are usually on the fence I usually say something along the lines of “well if you don’t believe me then may I take some of your energy?”, if they let me go ahead and feed off their energy, then they usually believe me because they will feel it. They would feel the feeding process, the transfer of their energy going into me, and they would feel the side-effects.

Are there connections between witchcraft and vampirism?

There is correlation, especially with the left-handed path.  I for one am I vampire and a witch, however most vamps are just vamps. Mostly there are not connections, the “physic vampires” seen in a lot of books, grimoires and such discuss us in a negative light, which is funny because many vampires are witches, just not out of the coffin so to speak.

Do vampires have fangs?

Why do people ask this? We have canines like every other mammal and human.  Some choose to wear fangs and some vampires make their living by crafting fangs, we in the community refer to them as “fang-smiths.”  A lot of vampires are in the gothic-subculture so some may choose to WEAR fangs, but we do not have fangs.  More and more vampires are moving away from that subculture as well, as it is a reason why people in the vampire community are being de humanized, you see this less and less.

Is vampirism Satanic?

No, it is not, unless a vampire makes it.  I first realized I was a psychic vampire when I was still following my family’s monotheistic Abrahamic beliefs.  I know vampires who are Satanic, who are necromancers, but I also know vampires who are Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, we come from all walks of life.  

But, Anton LaVey does mentation an “emotional” vampire in the Satanic bible.  While LaVey does bring this up, they do not mean an actual vampire, LaVey more so refers to what I call the “pot-stirrer”.  By this I mean that one asshole in high school that was always the center of attention, that always had gossip and had something to say, they live from others emotions, but they are not vampires, just assholes.  I bring this up because it is often a miscommunication that there is an “emotional vampires”, which thee is not, there are only vampires that feed from emotions.  Many of these vampires often become therapists because they can pluck out emotions from somebody.  

How does vampirism play a role in empath?

Vampires do have “empathy” to a degree, this is because we can feed off energy and emotions, while empaths just feel the emotions from my understanding.  We both feel the emotions, but we feel them in different ways. An empath will feel sad as the other person feels sad, a vampire would feel the sad but not feel sad themselves like an empath may.  However, vampire can also be an empath.

Are vampires evil?

Depends on the person. I mean depending on who is ask everyone is evil, it is entirely subjective.  

Does garlic hurt vampires?

No, I love it, probably too much.

Do crosses hurt vampires?

I mean do not like them, no, but that is for personal reasons.  Will it sting me or other vampires?  No.  However, I guess if you bashed me in the head with one then it would hurt.  

How does “feeding” effect the people you feed from?

This is a common question, if it a short-term person they would just feel the feeding and their energy would come back.  A person would only feel the feeding if they are sensitive to energy or if a vampire took a lot of it.  Feeding does offer many benefits to the donor when done correctly.  They can feel very…what is a good term…invigorated…energized…” happy” *wink wink*…you can see where I am going with this.

Can you explain more on sub-conscious vampires?

Looks like someone read my lecture, finally.  Allow me to explain.  What I call a subconscious vampire is a vampire psychic or not, who has not undergone the “awakening process.”  The awakening process start off by one realizing that they *might* be a vampire or something is up with them, then the magickal changes occur and it is a big ordeal. But a subconscious vampire has not undergone this process.  They feed mostly from people, they need to cause drama to get people emotions off the charts, they don’t do this intentionally, but they just need the energy for their well-being, and since they cannot control themselves and their feeding they need attention.  They are something the friend that will complain about anything and everything no matter how good their life is, or the center of attention, it depends, but they will always be a center of attention whether it be in a positive or negative light.

Do you drink blood?

Sanguine vampires are the ones that drink blood.  Do I personally, no.  Would I have given the chance? Yes, it the person was properly screened for diseases by a medical professional, and if they were of course willing.  We all have had animal blood, but that is in food like blood sausage and some vampires do drink blood from animals because you can buy frozen animal blood from stores.

Are you human? /Are vampire’s human?

Are you human?  What makes a human?  I am indeed a human, I would rather be a warthog or something better, but yes vampires are still human.

What is a vampire called if nobody knows they are a vampire?

A dog without a foot is still a dog.  I have no idea what are you trying to ask, I am sorry

Are you okay?

I mean probably not, I am a self-loathing, broke, non-binary Rromani college student in a very right wing college where a lot of people have a lot of guns on campus.  So, no, and if I go missing…help send.  Also on a very serious note a lot of vampires (myself included) do indeed go through a phase where they must think if they are indeed, truly insane or a vampire, especially if they are not pagan or in the occult world. Acceptance of yourself is the whole start of the awakening process.

Are vampires nocturnal or hurt by the sun?

Depends, the community is not homogenous, it is very diverse.  Some people do in fact get headaches from the sun, some get worse, some aren’t hurt by it at all.  I am light sensitive, but that may be due to a problem with my eyes.  Who knows for sure?

Do you like the term “vampire”?

No, I do not like the term due to the media and the archetype surrounding it.

You cannot cure psychic vampirism just as you cannot cure humanity.  Your boyfriend’s feedings can be pushed to the subconscious mind where he would not be consciously of his vampirism 24/7, but that is not a good idea as he would no longer feed consciously.  If he does this he will never get the correct amount of energy he needs to stay healthy, he will always be “underfeed” so to speak.  If a vampire stops feeding they can become ill mentally and physically; they can become chronically ill, get depressed, get fatigued all the time.

Tech Witch Lessons (WIP)

Since many people have asked me I have tried to compile a bunch of ideas and practices you can utilize as a tech witch! It’s not perfect and I mean to continue these lessons at some point but unfortunately college and life are really rough right now so they may have to wait until after the semester ends. I’ll post what I have under the cut and try to add to it when I can! Keep in mind these lessons were written in a daily format and thus I’ve separated them into parts, a lot of the writing is very stream of consciousness too.

Day 1: Intro

Techno witchcraft is a relatively new practice that has been born of the information age. Traditionally witchcraft has been performed through components and physical means, but with the dawn of technology and more witches being born into a generation where they are familiar with said technology has caused a new path to open up. Techno witchcraft is largely component free and is closely related to energy work, for those of your who can't easily tap into said energy I will try to add exercises to aid you in manipulating and controlling it with time. Aside from its component free and convenient nature, techno witchcraft is extremely malleable and can be worked into just about any practice. Its versatile nature is compounded by the fact that for the most part just owning a computer or a smartphone will give you access to everything you need. And we all know everyone here has one or the other at least. The practice is also very easy to keep away from prying eyes, so for you stealth witches these lessons might prove invaluable. Over time I'll touch upon things that might be easily subsituted for tech witchcraft (sigil craft, charging, grounding, and more) and how you can switch to full digital if you so wish it. It's a highly rewarding practice because of how simple and effective it is. I'll do my best to guide you on a more modern path.

Day 2: Sigils, Charging, Grounding, General Energy Work

So as far as tech magic goes as I've said before most of my practices are things I've come up with myself that work, for now I'm gonna focus on some basic practices to get you guys started and help you begin branching out yourselves. Today we’re going to cover methods of charging, grounding, and sigil work. On top of this I’ll mention some methods I use to keep my information and other ways to keep your practice away from prying eyes. Lastly I wish to mention a practice you can use to get in touch with your natural energy, as energy work often seems to go hand in hand with my tech magic.

This is a method that can be used for tech sigil craft. If you want to keep it entirely digital take it to mspaint or any app or program you can draw in to create the symbol. The lesson is entirely contained in the link above. For charging consider that tech magic is intrinsically linked to electricity, and electricity is very powerful stuff. You are easily capable of using wires and electricity to your advantage to quite literally charge sigils and other such things. Following off the method above you could craft the sigil, draw it in a phone app, and then charge it by plugging your phone or computer in to power. You can also use your own energy as well, mingling it with the energy of the tech and making use of both. For grounding I use a visualization exercise, instead of picturing the excess energy flowing into earth or similar, I instead visualize being connected to wires or I will occasionally hold a physical device or wire in my hands to release my energy into. The idea of grounding is actually utilized by IT techs, they will touch their hands to the side of a computer case to release any excess static energy before they work with the internal components, and this avoids damaging the delicate parts. In essence this is similar.

Just to give you some possible ideas on the visualization front. The physical method of holding a wire is just as good. Anyhow, all these methods can easily be performed on your phone and thus no one can really tell what you’re doing. Altars can be photographed or have videos taken of them to be portable and accessible anywhere, as well as there being no risk of being caught. Sigils can be made the background of your phone for easy access or protection of yourself or your device. Wikilin can be an amazing app to maintain your book of shadows or grimoires so no one can find your notes. There’s many ways tech magic can fit into your everyday lives. So here are some of the basics, and I will leave off here. I tacked on a visualization exercise I utilized to get in better touch with my natural energy (I’ve always had an affinity for sensing my own, so this was mostly just to strengthen it). Practice it for use with the above methods and for next time if you have difficulty getting in touch with your energy. Consider it homework.

Put your hands together but leave a little space in between them then slowly spread them apart, but imagine that something is forcing them together like they are attracted to each other.

Then do the opposite after they're a little bit away from each other, push them together but imagine there’s something in the way, like a ball you're squeezing, force them close together again all the while imagining that they are trying to repel each other. If you're doing it right you should feel something, this is your natural energy.

Here are some ideas to get started, get creative and share some more! On top of those ideas I also like to charge sigils with the energy I generate from playing games, I simply pick out a game that I can really immerse myself in and play easily and enjoy that isn’t story heavy and go to town. When you get in the flow of it just focus on the sigil you wish to charge and it will receive the energy you build up.

today is going to be a short lesson because life is still Hell but I didn't want to be remiss twice when I know there is interest, I just wanted to give everyone more ideas for practicing and integrating because honestly thats just how the craft works, when you're a techno witch its a lot of "troubleshooting". I’ve been looking to increase membership there (we especially need donors), but at the same time there seems to be a heavy stigma to energy vampirism around the tumblr community, and I’m not even sure if my followers would be interested.

The point of the server which I made already is to dispell misinformation surrounding energy vamps, help them develop their abilities, and otherwise just foster a sense of community among each other. The Psychic Vampire Codex is a good example of the structure and aesthetics I’m talking about. Caste system is ridiculously harmful classism. Advocating that vamps not heal their energy blockages because it will “cost them their abilities” is harmful and toxic. Dynamic between vamp and donor as master/slave really seriously needs some heavy examination. You’re a janitor. A gate keeper. A guide. A healer. It’s been perverted by pop culture to something much less useful.

One, most psi vampires dislike the Psychic Vampire Codex because it is written for the Kheprian house, which the book states, MANY TIMES. This house is where the three stage caste system is in place.  It is not a common thing anywhere else, in fact it is looked down upon, as most vampires embrace their own individuality and would not conform to such “caste systems”

Two, the Kheprian household was founded based of transformation of self, not the typical “gothic subculture.”  In fact there where looked down upon until the author was picked up by father sebsetain (who is also discredited by MANY vampires)

Third, IF you were apart of the “vampire community” you would know there is a thing called the DONOR BILL OF RIGHTS

Yes there are radicals, there are many radicals in any walk of life, the master/slave dynamic is absurd.

Lastly, one cannot be “rehabilitated”, one can push their subtle body’s feeding needs to the unconscious mind, but that would limit them sick and usually ill, in some cases even chronically ill.

In my extensive experience, yes, psychic vampire culture is heavily tied to gothic subculture. Just look at the webpage you linked me containing that “bill of rights”. Tell me that is not a gothic aesthetic. You meet most other vampires at fetish or BDSM clubs. Most of us wear black and fetishize anne rice novels. Most are teenagers. Yes, I am aware of the Donor Bill of Rights. Thanks for the ‘splain.

Yes, I was heavily entrenched in the practice and the social scene for a very long time. I used to identify as a psychic vampire, drawing on the vital energy of other people to sustain myself. I have, for the large part, surrendered this practice. I now feed on ambient energy, like that found in a busy subway station, or use my talent to clean and dismantle harmful entities. “Eating” things is my favourite method of self defense. I am a giant hepa filter. I consider it my charge to keep things circulating and prevent stagnation or waste. I use my skills to heal people, rather than putting the burden on them to heal me, scraping by on the backs of others. Being dependent on a donor is a dangerous mindset.

Your lifestyle is absolutely your choice, and I wouldn’t deign to dictate your decisions. There is some seriously harmful shit that’s normalized in those circles, however, and a lot of the material can make you sick and keep you sick, or create an unnecessary dependency that wasn’t initially there. The draw of being a super cool sexy vampire dude (or lady) gets a lot of people into the practice that don’t need to be, and they injure themselves. Some people believe they need it when they don’t, and because they’ve been told they’ll get sick without it, they get ill as a “reverse placebo effect”.

Practice carefully. Resist the “sexy” underbelly of the culture. Stay healthy… …And don’t send me abusive anon asks. It’s a waste of your time. I’ll answer honest questions, but am unwilling to wade into an argument. I feel no need to prove my credentials to you.

Look, I don’t want to fight just as much as you probably don’t, but I also think you need to consider that what works for you won’t work for everyone. The vampire codex in question that you linked I know full well about, I’ve read it cover to cover already. It’s not 100 percent perfect by any stretch of the imagination but no book on vampirism is going to be. I usually cite it as a good read just because it tends to contain a few useful techniques and answer many FAQS.

To be honest there’s nothing wrong with people into the gothic (or BDSM for that matter, since it’s just a healthy expression of sexuality), but our group if you even bothered to read is about creating a positive space and a community, we’re not here to skulk over in our respective corners of the Internet and play edge lord, we’re here to help each other and to make friends who will understand us as we are. Most vamps are by nature afraid to talk about what we are, or even more than that are afraid to feed at all and will suppress themselves and try to work under the radar with ambient feeding. I don’t appreciate you coming here and naysaying to an already small community in a way that will further keep them from being willing to express themselves or live their lives in a healthy manner.

Everyone’s energy intake needs are different, and it’s fine and dandy that ambient feeding will get you through your day no trouble, but you have to remember not everyone lives in a place with enough people for ambient feeding to be worthwhile, and largely ambient feeding will only get you so far even under the best of circumstances. As I mentioned before some need a lot more energy to function properly, myself included.

The thing that bugs me most however is just how many negative assumptions you automatically threw down on the table in a rather passive aggressive manner though. I’ve used my abilities for a lot of similar things to the way you’ve used yours (dealing with harmful entities and ESPECIALLY healing, I have a talent for healing and I’ve helped many people). We’re not just here to be selfish or greedy, we take care of each other and any member of our community, whether the donate or are just here out of curiosity. We’re here to do away with all the stigmas people have towards vamps, especially a lot of the ones you seem to hold. You seem more than a little self absorbed and self righteous, credentials or not it comes across in a really shitty manner.

At any rate, regardless of notes this post has drawn several new members to join and I’d like it to continue to do so. We’re here to help each other learn and grow and there are many new and fledgling vamps who could use the help learning the extents of their abilities in a manner that will be safe to others. A lot of good has come of this server and I’d like it to continue to do more for others, it’s partially been a labor of love.

Whether you are well intentioned or not you’re just going to scare folks off or get more people oh the bandwagon that you can just “stop” being a vamp when it’s quite legitimately a condition out of your hands. What is Void magic?

Void Magic isn’t truly a magic in the traditional sense of the word. It is much more closely aligned with chaos magic, in that much of the work is a product of the mind. The Void is a very real place. It has the function of existing outside of and between what we perceive as being real. But we are not capable of seeing the truth of reality ourselves, and so we cannot see how expansive the Void itself is, let alone Creation, which is its opposite and our home.

A good way of conceptualizing the way Void energy works is to think of the particles that make up the foundations of our universe. What are they constantly doing? They are vibrating. They are shifting in and out of existence according to rules and regulations we don’t understand. We are doing the same thing - each particle of our bodies are doing the exact same thing at every moment in time, and yet we do not feel this constant destruction and reconstruction of our bodies. A lot of it has to do with probability. Probability is the measure of the likelihood that an event will occur. What is the likelihood that you will exist in every given moment? It is almost certain (about .99 or almost 1), but there is still that small chance that you might simply disappear. I’m not an expert in this field by any means, so I encourage all of you to do some digging on your own.
