Content that incites hatred:
This comment has made me reflect on a lot of things that are going on, and I can’t remember now whether I explained this or not, but I will never say which Latin American country I’m from – not because I don’t want to be patriotic, nor because I don’t want to support my country
But, many, MANY years ago, when I was 9 and had my first Twitter account, I got really into supporting my country and cheering proudly whenever they scored goals... The hatred, the threats and the fear I felt back then were so intense that I deleted the profile, created another account and promised myself I’d never say exactly which country I’m from again
(But above all! It really annoys me when people single out someone who’s got nothing to do with it – don’t drag Quesito into this conversation! 😠) And I know my posts aren’t as successful as others’, but I put my passion and love into them! So just because you don’t like them, I won’t stop posting – so just put up with it >:D
I’m proud to be Latina, and I’ll be supporting my country from the safety of my home with my cat and my family, but I’ll never tell you where I’m from; I know that person is just a blip amongst so many wonderful people I’ve met, but this will be, I think, the first and last time I’ll say it: please respect all countries, especially during this World Cup.
The World Cup symbolises unity between nations, so let’s not let a few people ruin it for everyone <3
I love you all so much and hope you enjoy the World Cup *raises a white flag 🏳️✨
