do you ever find yourself watching random videos on hulu or netflix or whatever? while i was spending my time indoors i decided to relax and watch masterchef junior. these kids are so talented, i could never cook like them. they are literally cooking at such a high level. makes you wonder if they'd go to college for culinary arts or something. or hell, maybe they'll skip college and get a job as a great chef at a high pricey restaurant. don't get me wrong, i can cook but i know for a fact i cannot cook at their level. but watching them is really entertaining and gordon ramsey has such a soft spot for them when they mess up, compared to the older people on masterchef. anyways, hi i'm shawn for those who don't know me. @hillsfmsstarters

there's something about winding down with a show that's completely out of your own skill zone that's just... soothing, right? those masterchef junior prodigies could probably julienne veggies in their sleep while i'm here proud of myself for not burning toast. it’s like watching little kitchen wizards. and gordon ramsay? put him with the grown-ups and he's all fire and brimstone, but with the kids, he’s like a marshmallow – a stern marshmallow, but still. it's pretty endearing. i could whip up a mean spaghetti, but next to those mini chefs, i'd probably just be the clumsy sous-chef who's there for comic relief. but that's the charm of it, isn't it? living vicariously through their culinary adventures while i'm munching on cereal – it’s my kind of night.

I'm always conflicted about the sort of...PR part that comes along with the job I have. On the one hand, I understand that I have to present myself in some sort of way outside of the game, I get that. I have a job and also a job. But on the other hand, some of the stuff I'm tasked to do sometimes is...interesting. I'm no actor, and I know I'm not cut out for that sort of thing, but even I have to admit it was cool to "act" alongside Optimus Prime for a commercial I did recently.
