Some horror for kawaiichina! I hope you like it.. Oh my goodness, I don’t really like it though. Bah.
You lifted your head from your book; exhausted from the countless nights of studying for your finals. You looked up at the security guard who was tapping your shoulder. He smiled and continued his way.
You looked back at your book, disgusted at the pool of drool that had settled on the open pages. You sighed and tried to wipe it off with your sleeve. You packed your books and hauled your backpack onto your shoulders.
“Goodnight, I’ll see you tomorrow, yet again!” you chirped at the security guard who kept walking around in circles around the first floor of the library. He nodded at you.
“Be careful out there,” he warned teasingly. “He might get ya! I’ll see you tomorrow.”
You laughed. What at stupid legend; it’s said that there was a man named Dennis; and he had a wife. He was deeply in love with her but she soon regretted the marriage shortly after.
It was rumored that she had run away with some army guy; but Dennis absolutely refused to think of his wife as a cheater and chose to wait for her. She had left without a single word, message or hint of where she was. Dennis felt destroyed, but he remained hopeful that one day, he’d find her again.
So people say that he roams the streets of this city at night searching for his wife.
You laughed again inwardly as you opened the door and walked out. An eerie breeze blew right past you; making you shiver. Whether it was from fear or sheer cold, you didn’t know. You waited at the traffic light for the little green man to flash.
You heard someone breathe your name out behind your neck. You jumped and turned around. A man with dark, spiked up hair and long bangs was staring at you, smiling. You took a step back.
“Can I help you?” you asked, taking a step back for every step towards you he took.
“I’ve found you..” he whispered, reaching out.
You looked at him with widened eyes. “I think you have the wrong person. I’m not in a relationship- wait- how’d you know my name?”
So many questions were running through your mind but this man hadn’t answered any one of them. He was just smiling.
Your legs stopped moving as if someone had frozen the bottom half of your body. You looked at the man with fear.
“W-what do you want? Just take my bag! Here, take it!” you said, panicking, throwing your backpack in his direction.
Nothing escaped your mouth when you saw it fly right through him. You started to panic; your chest rising and falling quickly when you realized what was going on.
Dennis Park thinks I’m his wife
“I-I’m not your wife! I’m not your wife!” you cried out; legs still stuck in place. Dennis advanced towards you; his steps silent against the hard pavement. You couldn’t look him in the eye; you were too scared.
He placed his finger underneath your chin and lifted it to stare at you. He smiled again; dimple on display.
“You are my wife; and you’re back here to be with me. Why’d you make me wait so long?” he asked calmly. You remained silent.
“It doesn’t matter as long as you’re with me now. But you made me wait so, so, so long for you.. You should be punished for what you did to me” he said, a bit more harshly; his face approaching yours slowly.
“No..” you whimpered; trying to use all your might to move your body. You were too scared. Dennis ran his nose along your jaw line; inhaling your scent. He then straightened up and looked at you; his eyes now only containing black orbs.
“No!” you screamed, trying to push him back; but your hands went right through his body. He laughed.
“Fate has already decided for us, my dear. There’s no escaping faith.”
And with that, he pressed his lips against yours.
The security guard looked out the window; sunshine. Morning had finally arrived. He stretched and grabbed his stuff, ready to leave to go home to sleep.
As he walked out the building, he noticed something.
He walked over and grabbed it; examining around it. Why did it look so familiar? He couldn’t wrap his mind around it; it looked like it belonged to someone whom he’d seen a lot. No names or faces were coming up in his mind.
That is, until he went through the bag and grabbed the wallet inside. He pulled out a library card.
He went back inside and logged onto the computer to type your name in.
His gaze shifted between the card and the computer monitor. The card looked so real, though. He shrugged and put the card back in the wallet, back into the bag.
The security guard threw the bag in the lost and found section of the library.
