When I saw @ohshinu ‘s beautiful #dtiyschallenge I thought her character would make the perfect fairy for #faebruary2021 ! 🧚‍♀️ I tried to recreate a photograph of decaying flowers for her wings since the prompt was “decay”. I'm a little late to this but I really wanted to take part on the #faebruary2021 challenge created by @_quinnasaurus and continue with my Blackpink fanarts, so I thought it would be a good idea to mix both 😄 I'm not sure if it still looks like her, but here is Rosé sitting on a blossom branch as a fairy 🧚🏻‍♀ Btw, I think most of the time I spent on this painting was on deciding colors! Here’s my version of @cisviolin ‘s lovely character! 😄 So, I kind of jumped on this #dtiys challenge once I had an idea and throughout the process I forgot that there was supposed to be a floating sentimental item coming from inside the locket 😬 I’m not a very sentimental person so I took a different approach. This is my interpretation of @kyunst_ 's character! 🐸 As she already knows, I'm a big fan of all her artworks and when she came up with her first #dtiys challenge I just had to jump on the opportunity to do my own version of one of her paintings! 😄 I had no idea at the beginning that I was going to do a full-on background but I'm super happy with the result. Here is pt. 2 of my Winx duology! 🧚‍♀️ I guess this turned out to be the Spring/Summer collection of the two ☀️ I think these 3 had the easiest styles to interpret: -Flora: Boho/Cottage core style. I think her style is the most timeless from the show... At least it was the one I liked the most! -Bloom: 70's style. Just because she wore flared jeans in the original 😅 But I think she would have the most "girl next door" type of look! -Stella: Y2K style. She is the fashionista of the group and I think this trend would fit her the best. It gives her that popular girl look that she also had in the series! Long time no see! And that is because this illustration took me the longest to do 😅 Seeing so many fanarts of Winx inspired me to create my own! I'm no fashionista but I love fashion and wanted the challenge of creating outfits that fit each character's personality. I did some studying and even if it's not 100% accurate I did everything with an intention: -Layla/Aisha: Sporty/street wear style. (I made a pattern out of her symbol with the help of @shenlock.art youtube video!) -Tecna: I know she's mostly famous for her futuristic style but she also wears a preppy outfit and I went with that! -Musa: She's the music fairy so I thought the grunge style would fit her well since it was inspired by that genre in music! I’m a big fan of @samdoesarts and sadly I missed his last DTIYS challenge so I made a promise to myself that whenever he did his next one I was going to participate, so here is my version of his Linn character! 🌸 Also, everytime I decide to try something new I take double the time and this happens often because I’m still pretty much in that exploration phase. This time I tried the flat brush and I had such a hard time trying to paint her hair!! I kept erasing everything...
