He then ran out to face the villain.

As they got out, Yuri saw multiple members of the Justice League where already there. Yuri’s eyes expanded a bit more as a red blur appeared, followed bt a yellow one.

“Robin! The Flash and Kid Flash are here!!!”

Yuu was about to whack his brother over the head before Lex busted in and completely distracted him.

“Dammit….We need to sneak away and change into our suits.” He mumbled to Yuri.

“Yuu not in front of-!” That is when he noticed Oliver had disappeared from the area. “Hey, guess Uncle Oliver fled quickly...”

Yuri grabbed him and lead him toward a construction wing. “Knowing dad he’s pobably already Batman.” Yuri sighed.

While Mikasa looked like she wanted to be sick, Annie looked utterly haunted. “We all had to do terrible things,” she murmured. “That’s all you can do during war. You do horrible things, just to survive.”

Quietly, Mikasa noted, “The thing is, Marley still did keep their Warriors in a cage. They live in the internment zone of Liberio. What’s left of it, anyway…even after becoming Warriors, they’re still not truly considered Marleyan. The Warriors are still of Eldian descent in their eyes and are thus not really human. That’s what allows things like genocide to happen, Kiragi. They dehumanize a group of people and suddenly, it’s ok to kill them in the eyes of the rest of the world. Even if the majority of those people didn’t even know that there was a rest of the world.”

Annie’s eyes lowered to the ground, almost guiltily. “The thing is, kid, most of the world doesn’t know the machinations of the war between Marley and Paradis. They’ve heard Marley’s side mostly, because they’re the ones that were present in world politics. Paradis…for a hundred years or so, the people of Paradis didn’t even know there were people outside the walls. They thought they were the only humans left in the world. The only people who knew the truth was the royal family.” She mumbled, “Marley was waging war on an island nation of people who had no idea that they even existed. They thought that the titans had overrun the rest of the world and killed all other humans.”

Kiragi guessed he was lucky not to understand that. Back in Hizaru he would be shooting at other human beings right now for one of the two sides, which ever managed to capture him first and make him think like them. “I am glad I can’t relate.”

“Why did they let Marley keep existing? Why not make it return to it’s original borders?” That sounded smarter to Kiragi, given Paradise and several allied nations were able to defeat Marley. They where a big threat to the “peace” the world craved. Granted, he doubted they meant peace, they seemed to think just wiping a random race out of existence would make the world somehow peaceful, if they kept doing that, there would be no humans left on the planet, which might mean peace, but that would be a bad kind of peace.

“But the world also knows Marley is famous for lying, Look at their version of world history, in every war they started they claimed to be the victim.” He remembered hearing about how Marley once sank it’s own ship and blamed Hizaru for a war it started about twenty years before he was born.
