During your time at Hogwarts, and perhaps today even...
Favourite "off the trolley" snacks?
Favourite honeydukes purchase?
My tastes haven't changed substantially since my time at Hogwarts, although I may have been more adventurous back then. I certainly tried everything on the trolley over the course of my seven years at Hogwarts, although often defaulting to chocolate in some shape or another.
I've also always had a taste for Ice Mice, or anything minty with a bit of a punch to it.
You have? Interesting. Care to elaborate just how ’acquainted‘ you are with Ursula Black? Don‘t worry, we won‘t tell ol‘ Phineas😜
Well-acquainted. We went to school together, spending our time in the same common room. Of course I know her husband just as well.
And I never said I had, at least not in recent history. I've had little time to devote to lonely witches for the past twenty-odd years, and had I the inclination, I could certainly find a younger, more attractive, and less encumbered witch to share my bed.
How very flattering. Unfortunately for Miss McDowell, my quota of Hogwarts brats is already overfull.
Violet would probably have more luck visiting the Hog's Head after midnight if she'd accept a substitute.
Regarding your type: Have you met Ursula Black (Headmaster Black‘s wife)? Seems like SHE would tick off all the boxes😏 plus what can be witnessed on here, her husband is an ass and treats her badly (surprise surprise) Why not have a go?
Of course I've met Ursula. I've a long-standing rapport with the Black family. While Phineas is but a lowly schoolmarm, his aspirations to greatness make him a prime target for manipulation.
As far as getting more closely acquainted with Ursula... Who says I haven't?
What's your type
I believe I've been asked this before, and I'm not sure I have a particular 'type,' but there are certainly traits I find attractive in a witch. For instance:
A trim but curvaceous figure.
A keen mind and quick wit.
Long, flowing locks.
A significant fortune.
Membership in a powerful family.
A pleasing countenance.
As you can see, I'm a very simple man, with very reasonable tastes.
Some people really need to get my man's name out of their whore mouths and put his cock in it instead.
I see.
Mister Rookwood, sir.
I know you'd never reveal what your Boggart looks like, but how about Harlow's?
Although I've never seen it, I imagine Harlow's boggart is probably a dentist.
Pray forgive my presumption, Sir, but I cannot help but wonder: do you perchance possess such a revered volume, from which you draw the profound wisdom that so distinguishes your discourse?
I possess many volumes - some commonplace, others esoteric.
Are you accusing me of lacking an original thought?
Upon further clarification, I will re-address this question as follows:
Time to read of late has been extremely scarce, but when I get a moment, I'll read a few pages from a book titled Thus Spoke Zarathustra, penned by a strange Muggle.
From time to time, I'll sometimes revisit an old childhood favourite - Robinson Crusoe.
With Father's day coming up... (UK - 21st June)
Expecting... Anything from your Issues? Or Issue?
*cough* Oswald Tarrington *cough* for instance?
*ducks the obliviate.*
That would be a first. And, in a certain Scout's case, also an impossibility.
I'm also not sure I've heard of this 'Father's Day' of which you speak.
What's your body count?
Like most animals, I have but one body.
I'm aware of the alternate meanings for 'body count' but I'm afraid I can't provide a decisive answer otherwise.
You are given a choice of four potions to take. Permanent and not single use.
You can only imbibe one:
1. A golden phial: Time travel forwards or backwards in time, anytime anywhere, you can also pause tine. whenever you wish.
2. A pink phial: You can immediately tell who is or who are; suitable for carrying on the Rookwood bloodline. Upon first meeting.
3. A green phial: Rookwood castle is fully restored to its rightful state and grand splendour, including an exceedingly cast treasury that outdoes any and all vaults within Gringotts.
4. A silvery phial: You are immediately bestowed the same ancient magic as the capeflapper and the repository magic combined. Without the addictive side effects of the latter.
Oh, this one is easy. I'll take number four, the silver phial. With power, all else falls into place.
Nice try though with that quip about the bloodline. Of all my bastards, surely at least one will prove decent. No skin off my nose regardless.
Mr Rookwood, sir. What is your stance on the wizarding blood purity discussion? Are you in interaction with any muggles for business purposes etc?
I must admit I find the blood purity discussion a bit tedious. While there's something to be said for having a traceable wizarding bloodline, I've known many a half-blood or Muggle-born whose power was no more diminished for their blood status.
This is not merely a guess. I do thorough research into all of my associates. By consulting Ministry records, I've discovered that many of them were recorded in the Book of Admittance as toddlers or young children, despite a lack of blood purity.
Stolen magic indeed.
That said, the banter on the topic amongst my ranks doesn't bother me in the slightest, as long as it doesn't affect my business in any way.
Lately you have often been seen wandering aimlessly around Hogsmeade. How can you explain this?
I assure you, there is an aim to all my wandering. Perhaps someone bearing some resemblance to me has been spotted in Hogsmeade. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I have a potentially asinine theory. Is the Lord of the Manor at Manor Cape your father? And why is Travers stationed there?
Interesting. Perhaps you recognized the signs that the manor is yet another Rookwood family ruin. Or is it?
As for the bag of bones purportedly in the cellar.. I can neither confirm nor deny his identity, though based upon what I hear, he is certainly no common Inferius and retains a rather fashionable wardrobe.
When my father unfortunately passed away over twenty years ago, several formidable witches and wizards remained with the organization. Travers was one of them.
Perhaps Ailsa's loyalty or usefulness was ultimately called into question, and she was banished to the manor to spend some quality time with her true master.
Or perhaps she was stationed there for some unrelated reason, and decided to reanimate him if only for some company. It's quite the mystery, isn't it?
How many more dragon rings like the Horntail Hall exist? Do you bet on fights? Are you the ringmaster of the main dragon ring? Do dragons fight to the death? Which is more profitable: to maintain and heal the existing dragons or to catch new ones every time?
Would you also like me to provide the exact longitude and latitude for my perfectly legal and above board establishments?
No, I am not the ringmaster. I have no time for such frivolous displays.
Dragons are formidable and notoriously difficult to capture. Hypothetically, should a dragon perform well, it will progress to future rounds. If a dragon is seriously injured, it may be put to pasture, sold for parts, or used for breeding, depending on its individual qualities and circumstances.
The dragon fights are not necessarily to the death. A dragon may choose to stop fighting at any time, or become unable to do so without actually perishing. When one dragon stops fighting, a winner is declared, and the gates will be opened to allow both dragons to retreat. Whether the opposing dragon accepts the invitation is up to him. Many fights do ultimately result in death.
