As a closeted lesbian teenager with autism, I had often wondered if I could be in a play such as Godspell, and now, I’m geeking! Last year, after The Little Mermaid with Theatre Agápe, I had been asked what musical the theatre production the organization should do next? My answer? Godspell! AND IT HAS COME TRUE!!!! 💖🏳️‍🌈

So…I heard about this YouTube couple that was in their second trimester of their pregnancy, and found out that their baby had Down syndrome; and decided to terminate it because of its disability. Now, I respect their decision as I am pro choice, but here’s what rubbed me the wrong way: they were proud about terminating their baby, and doing it for clicks. And the absolute worst part of it all was when James (that’s the ableist mfer) called people with Down Syndrome a glitch! First of all, sir, people like my older sister Ruby and my youngest daughter Keiko, are NOT glitches—they are human beings! What this couple did definitely crossed the line and I am heartbroken for the Down syndrome community, Ruby, and Keiko. Mark my words, I will not stop advocating for them! Why? Because I am a younger sister who has a sister with Down Syndrome; and a daughter who has Down Syndrome as well as a daughter with autism. To the couple who did this shit for clicks: take one look into the mirror and see the DAMAGE, that will ALWAYS be right behind you! I am one furious sister and lesbian mama! 🤬💢
