Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mom actually had Michael cremated and his ashes were spread in Neverland. So when they had the funeral, he wasn’t in a casket or anything like that. He was cremated. His mom was worried that the press would slander him even after he died. 🥺🏳️‍🌈

The last 45 seconds or so of Be Prepared from The Lion King (1994) has Scar's singing done by Jim Cummings instead of Jeremy Irons. I had never noticed in all the years of this being one of my favourite movies, but now that it's pointed out to me, I can never not hear the transition again.

The change happens around the 2:50 mark:

I would assume what happened is that Jeremy Irons blew out his voice screaming "You won't get a sniff without me!!" and Jim Cummings, being an excellent impressionist, stepped in to complete the recording. Still, now that I can hear it, it sounds like Evil Winnie the Pooh.

Thirty years after first voicing Scar, Jeremy Irons, now aged 76, returned to the role for a live performance of "The Lion King" in 2025.

A couple of the higher notes have been shifted down a key or two, but damn, he's still got it.

Yes, he was. And the heartbreaking thing of it was he spoke at it and the Rededication harms us marginalized folk: women, LGBTQ people, people of color, people with disabilities and more. I just found out about it from my twin sister and we’re having second thoughts about seeing Season 6 of the Chosen after seeing Jonathan at that bigoted event. If we do see it, we’ll watch it, but we’ll never look at him the same way. The truth is Rededication 250 is Christian Nationalism and the weaponization of religion put together. I don’t hate God; I hate the people weaponizing religion in the wrong way. And if Jonathan is MAGA, might as well unfollow. 💔🥺🌈

Oh dear…from the looks of this, he needs to do better and not spread so much bigotry and Christian hatred, because that’s not what the great King of the Past would do. Of course, you know who that great King would be.

Yep! That would be Yeshua. He would never preach hate against the marginalized like Jonathan is doing.

All the more reason to speak out against the weaponization of religion. It’s a good thing Rani and the others escaped it.
