When I first read the news this morning, I didn’t want to believe it. Anthony Bourdain seemed like the kind of person that would continue to live despite his op

Many of his shows explored Mexican cuisine and for that I thank him. It’s really supposed to be a thank you letter. This show fueled my love to cook food & explore new cultures as I sat in my home as an undocumented immigrant for many years, with no chance to travel.

Many ingredients and cooking traditions from Mexico have been whitewashed to make them palatable for the American palate. Bourdain knew that Mexican cuisine was much more complex than just tacos and tortas. Accepting it as it is!

So thank you @anthonybourdain for empowering the city I was brought up in CDMX & its street food!!!
