I’ve been really into the aesthetic of field research recently, and have been riding the high of visiting both the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Seattle Aquarium

A third of the way through heavyjan already! Been in a bit of a weird headspace recently but I'm still pretty proud of these

And done! A few more of my favorites from this month!

Weirdly I ended up with fewer completed pieces I like compared to last year, but there are specific elements I focused on that I think highlight my growth

Overall a great learning experience!

We're halfway through plein airpril! I'm taking the opportunity to get into gouache painting, which is the most time I've spent with traditional media in the ohhh 10+ years since college. Here are a few of my favorites!

Im really enjoying the process! I hope to continue even after april

so excited to be able to share this! i was commissioned by a friend to make a set of 8 token cards for their MTG event Boston Cube Party!

the idea was to have each card represent a season, and to show an oak grove grow and transform over many years. I had a ton of fun exploring the concept and finding little details to add to each card!
