During the very early development of Splatoon, while the developers were still figuring out the games' design, they originally planed to use tofu blocks.

They would scrap this idea and play around with more concepts, notabley rabbits and even Mario characters before settling on squids.

Mario's Scientist Outfit in Mario Odyssey was featured in an old advertisement for the Super Game Boy. It was an extension for the SNES that allowed people to play Game Boy games on the SNES.

In 1977, Nintendo would take its first dive into video game consoles. They released the Color TV-Game, a series of five consoles released between 1977 and 1980.

They were the: Color TV-Game 6 (1977), Color TV-Game 15 (1978), Color TV Racing 112 (1978), Color TV Block Kuzushi (1979), and Computer TV Game (1980).

Mario's Explorer Outfit in Mario Odyssey was used in Mario's Picross - 1995. He was an intrepid explorer uncovering ancient artefacts through Picross puzzles.

In 1956, the president of Nintendo visited the leading card company in America and was surprised to see they were working out of a small office. This helped the man to realise the limitations of the card business.

Because of this, in 1963, Nintendo would expand into other businesses such as creating a food company and a vacuum cleaner. All of these ventures failed accept one, toys.

Nintendo started life over 100 years ago (1889) as a Hanafuda card company and its full name was Yamauchi Nintendo, from the companies founder, Fusajiro Yamauchi.

The cards it produced growing popular enough for them to sign a deal with Disney to produce cards with its characters.

In a prior version of Smash Ultimate, there was a glitch you could perform with Zoroark and Ridley that would make any selected character T pose. This was removed in a later update.

During the development of Halo, the game went through many name changes. It started life as Armor, then changed to Monkey Nuts, Blam!, and finally, Halo: Combat Evolved.
