Endangered Species

I read an interesting piece on the apocalypse once which boiled down to the thesis that the world is always ending for someone. The apocalyptic vision is and has been accessible throughout history -- it exists outside time. This is why the trope of the hysterical cry that "the end is nigh!" endures. I'm always attracted to those processes that appear to operate beyond spacetime as we know it.
