Poster for the coming-of-age, comedy-drama The Spectacular Now. The film premiered at Sundance where it received very positive reviews and the two leads, Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller, both won acting awards for their performances!

Prince Avalanche
Director: David Gordon Green Starring: Paul Rudd, Emile Hirsch
Who ever would have thought that Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch would make such an intriguing and oddly charming pair? A remake of an Icelandic film, Prince Avalanche is the story of an unlikely friendship that emerges from a summer spent in solitude surrounded by uninhibited nature.
Both Rudd and Hirsch have proven themselves as talented leading men in various roles and films, and I cannot wait to see what they can do together! From what we can see in the trailer, the wildlife and geography of the land stands out as the beautiful backdrop to the story and will surely be something to appreciate. The film has already been making the rounds at various festivals and should be making its way to theaters sometime later this summer where I know I will be trying best to catch it!

Update!
It's been a little over a month now since I posted last, and I apologize for dropping the ball! But in all fairness I hadn't made it out to the movies in awhile (until this past weekend), and a lot has been going on in the past month.
A few weeks ago I graduated from university with my BA, Bed, and ECE diploma, and even had my first professional interview with a school board! The school board that I just so happened to have gone to high school in. I should be hearing back from them any day now, and I'm feeling hopeful!
My boyfriend Scott and I also had some lovely weekends together. We helped plan and run a very successful Stag and Doe for my brother and his fiance, and I also took Scott to see Romeo & Juliet on stage at the Stratford Festival for his birthday!
Finally, we also spent a weekend in Toronto and saw Taylor Swift in concert! I've been a fan of hers since high school and her early days, and it was incredible to see her live for the first time. I've got no shame in my love for Taylor Swift! You better believe this 22 year old was singing the loudest during '22'!
That's it for the exciting stuff. I'm now settling into my summer job schedule and routine, but I'm hoping that means I'll have some more spare time to keep Viewing Required updated!

Hercules 3D is due to hit theaters February 2014 and what does this poster tell us? That there will be plenty of shots of Kellan Lutz's barely covered body plastered everywhere as he plays Hercules, a Man, God, and Hero!
But we already knew that didn't we, it's Kellan Lutz. Easy enough to figure out the direction they were going with this one right from casting.

Everything about the trailer above is stellar. The way it unfolds in such a teasing way, the extremely fit Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the whole cast, and of course, Scarlet Johansson's accent.
I was excited when I first started hearing about her role in the movie, and now after getting a peak, I am so eager to see more!

Over at the link above, Reverse Shot complied a list of shots so generic and overused they never want to see them in a movie again. The whole list is worth a read, but my personal favourites include:

It starts off in a long shot and a guy's all far away and walking toward the camera and you're all “Uh-oh am I going to have to watch him walk the whole way?” and you do and it takes three minutes or more. “Ooh, look at me, I'm sculpting with time!” Fuck you. 13. Super close-ups of old people's eyes. Waking up from a dream or something. It means the film will be from his/her point of view and will probably flash back because we don't want to watch movies entirely about old people. These moments are meant to instill gravity, because seeing crow's feet in extreme close-up makes us contemplate death.
annas and olivias arms look to be around the same size even though olivia is way taller. unless youre talking about annas right arm that is very slightly being covered by jakes left arm.
That's a lot of arms.
I've only heard a little about this movie, but Jake Johnson is great on New Girl and I would love to see him in a cinematic comedy. And who doesn't love Anna Kendrick, right? But can we all agree see looks weird in this poster? It's not just her petite size compared to the rest, but also that skinny looking arm she's got going on there.

Gravity
Director: Alfonso Cuarón Starring: Sandra Bullock, George Clooney
I watched this teaser trailer last night and my heart was racing by the end of it! And then I woke up this morning to hear about the astronauts undergoing a spacewalk to repair a leak on the International Space Station. I'm sure the astronauts up there right now are safe and getting the job done, but here's what happens to the astronauts in Gravity:
During a spacewalk, the space shuttle is destroyed, and Stone (Bullock) and Kowalsky (Clooney) are stranded in space with no communications with Earth.
Terrifying. But I'm intrigued nonetheless. And there's just something I love about Sandra Bullock, so I'll be heading to theaters to check this one out in 3D and face some of my unsettling space fears!

I'll see anything Brit Marling is in. I absolutely loved her film Another Earth and thinks she's one of the exciting and talented up-and-comers in Hollywood.

She is assigned to go undercover to infiltrate an anarchist collective known for executing covert attacks upon major corporations.
