"alright.  you're  going  to  be  my  savior  today,"  evelina  announces  to  the  first person  she sees,  a  bright  smile  on  the  brunette's  face.  she  loves  weddings  and  everything  that  comes  with  them.  to  say  she's  overwhelmed  would  be  an  understatement,  but  it's  in  the  best  possible  way.  there's  food,  there's  cocktails,  there's  different  kinds  of  activities.  she's  on  a  mission  to  try  everything,  or  at least attempt  to  try  everything.  "i  can't  decide  what  activity  to  do  first.  it  was  hard  enough  narrowing  down  to  two,  for  starters,  but  i  did  it.  is  it  exploring  the  gardens  or  preparing  cocktails?"  she  fists  both  her  hands,  placing  them  in  between  her  and  the  person  before  her,  playful  twinkle  to  her  eyes.  "pick  one  hand,  you'll  be  the  decider.  no  pressure!"

⋆.°    ᝰ.ᐟ     maxine is barely paying attention as her fingers work to twist her hair up into a perfectly loose yet put together up-do to secure with a claw clip.  so evelina’s sudden presence did surprise her a little.  “  honestly you’re so right though.  there’s so much to do,  it really is hard to pick one.  ”  lips twist up in thought at the two options the other woman presented.  “  so i think we should start off with exploring the gardens and then unwind with cocktails.  i don’t know how long it’s gonna take us to explore the gardens but we might be tired after that and that’s when we can reward ourself with cocktails  !  ”

maxine somsri is born the youngest child to a family of old money standing.  she was once hailed as a generational prodigy where her life revolved entirely around the ice.  and with such a demanding sport,  she’s driven by ambition as well as the mounting pressure of parents who equated her successes to their own. her life was centered around this, rising quickly through the ranks to become a world champion and an olympic icon. she’d achieved everything she was told. she became a highly decorated olympic medalist in women’s singles figure skating.  and skating was all she knew.  but little does maxine fully realize that with each achievement, she loses more and more of herself in the process.  now she starts to grapples through some … unresolved issues: burnout, identity, expectations. but perhaps a trip to greece to attend a wedding of a childhood friend will put things into perspective.

a crochet girlie. took up crocheting as a hobby. she finds the repetitive motions to be relaxing where she can zone out for a bit if she needs to. also helps pass time when attending figure skating competitions

a bit of a coffee aficionado. now she wouldn’t call herself a pro but she definitely holds a deep knowledge of coffee from sourcing to roasting to flavor profiles. not as much of a snob as she used to be about it but can appreciate a good cup of coffee

has a complicated relationship with figure skating. she isn't fully ready to accept that she's falling out of love with the sport. maxine used to be hungry for it. would strive to be the ideal and would do anything to keep up with the competition. she is currently trying to not have a full blown existential crisis over who she is without the sport
