       “I see you’ve learned how to wake yourself, Young Master.” Sebastian said as he entered the room with the morning’s breakfast. Sometimes, the demon found it amusing that his master kept trying so hard to be independant. But he was very much still a brat in the demon’s eyes, especially when he begged for sweets before dinner. As much as the boy wanted to to care for himself, he looked tiny and tired every morning. 

       “Do you remember the schedule for today? You have dancing lessons at noon today. As much as you dislike dancing, you have to know how to do so. You can’t embarrass yourself at public meetings.” A few times the demon had been tempted to invite Elizabeth to Ciel’s dance lessons. Perhaps her presence would get him to perform. The demon finished setting breakfast for Ciel while fetching something for him to wear. “Will it be blue, green, or black today sir?” Sebastian asked him. 

                As much of a hit against his pride as it would have been, the young Earl couldn’t deny the sudden appearance of the demon had indeed startled him, the gentle mumble under his breath the only indication of such. The warm scent of scones and tea drifted from the trays brought in, and his stomach growled lightly in anticipation of enjoying the meal prepared for him, and him alone, but the words spoken by curled lips and a silver tongue made him sneer where he believed he wouldn’t be seen, the mere notion that Sebastian would still think him such a child enough to truly irk his young mind.

                Who did he think he was, implying such things in that snake-like tone? Mismatched eyes narrowed in disgust, the distant dream of ordering the demon to sit like a dog and beg for a treat enough to brighten him and keep him from acting out of place, unlike the Earl he was. The query on his taste of color made him ponder, made many a thought come to an already calculating mind, and when one answer stood out among the bunch, he ran with it. Who said he couldn’t be spontaneous from time to time?
