an empty shell - confused and wandering the streets of beacon hills looking for his home, wherever that was. he assumed he lived somewhere around here since being in this town was the last thing he remembered. the longer he wandered, the more confused and frustrated he got. the vampire decided knocking on the next door he saw and hoping for the best was the next best idea, it was a full moon after all and he did know that if werewolves lurked amongst this town too then he should probably stay out of their way for the night. finally eric made his way to the door and knocked, listening to the heartbeat on the other side of the door. "hey uh.. do you mind inviting me in for the night? i just heard about the curfew and i .. i've been locked out of my house. i just need somewhere to stay till i can get in touch with a locksmith in the morning." he told the person as they opened the door. if asking nicely didn't go his way, he did remember how to compel and get exactly what he needed - maybe he could get a meal out of this too if he played his cards right. not that pissing off a witch seemed to work out great for him last time.

the vampire's eyes widened at the man's words, he wasn't quite sure why but he seemed to forgotten about the town's curfew and everything else about himself. what was going on in this suddenly unfamiliar town? "oh uh ... neither ... just a bit confused is all. i must've forgotten about that ..." he replied sheepishly, he was a vampire and could probably protect himself from whatever was causing the humans to be so scared but what was the big deal anyways? "why exactly are we not supposed to be out again?"

the vampire was wandering around the streets of beacon hills, confused but also hungry. pissing off a witch and getting cursed had worked up an appetite but as he wandered the streets he wondered why there were only a few of humans in sight. sure, it was a full moon but he had no recollection of what the supernatural problem actually was in this town, so he continued to walk the streets curiously and cautiously till he found his next meal.

once he found his victim, in the blink of an eye they were in an alley so he could drain her quickly and discretely so he could move on to figuring out exactly what was going on. as eric fed, he heard footsteps come closer to him and he quickly took his lips from his victim's throat to get a look at the stranger. eric soon realized he was in the presence of a fellow vampire once he noticed he couldn't hear the man's heartbeat or feel the blood pumping through his veins like he could with humans. "beautiful night, isn't it? too bad there aren't many others enjoying it. does this town have a wolf problem or something?" he finally said with a childish grin on his face as he took a glance at the full moon and then back at the stranger.

the sense of relief and comfort settled into her bones when eric accepted her offer of staying. her lips visibly curved in a smile of satisfaction. there was a deep sated curiosity she needed satisfied and getting even the smallest bit of information was going to help her understand him. there was a certainty in her that there was more to eric then he would first let on. sookie was ready to discover it all, even if it meant she wasn't going to make it in the end.

her arms would tighten around her pillow when eric willingly told his story to her. while she had expected him to be extraordinary, she hadn't know he would be even more then that. her initial thoughts were confirmed, he indeed was a viking warrior and lived quite the spectacular life. one she could probably only dream of. " oh my, viking royalty. you are even more impressive then i imagined. " sookie drew out a dreamy sigh, imagining him back in the days with a sword in hand, a bare chest and a crown resting on his head. perhaps not quite how his reality was but the image in her head was an exciting one. " how did you get turned? " she didn't wish to imply and therefore left the question open for discussion. it was his story to tell if he felt the comfort to. " i can only imagine how difficult it must have been. " it was certainly more difficult then discovering the mere existence of the supernatural world.

eric smiled softly as he looked down at sleepy sookie for a moment once again, admiring the innocence and wonder in her eyes as she hugged her pillow tightly listening to the vampire's stories. a smirk curled up his lips as she spoke. "yes -- a viking king. i guess i should've opened with that instead of trying to drain you, hm?" he replied with a chuckle, thinking back about how differently this night has gone. she was supposed to be his meal and now he was sitting on the edge of her bed, sharing stories about his life as a vampire. "i was wounded on the battlefield when i was turned, i was supposed to die with my comrades by my side. but then he came to me and killed everyone else, he introduced himself as death. he asked if i'd like to be his companion and he'd give me what i loved most -- life." he told her with a small smile on his lips as he got to reminisce about his maker for a moment, a memory he would always cherish. godric gave him everything he wanted in life and more and he would strive to do the same for his progeny, pam. "adjusting to the immortal life is always difficult for anyone but the vampire that turned me was an incredible man and taught me everything i needed to know. we were companions for many centuries. it may seem like a curse to others but there was something about my maker with his words and guidance that made it feel like a blessing." he told her truthfully, he wasn't scared like many others were when they were turned. in the face of death, eric welcomed him with open arms.

"now that i've shared my stories and secrets with you, maybe one day you'll be sitting at the end of my bed and sharing yours with me. there is something more to you than just delicious blood. whenever you're ready, please enlighten me. maybe date number two?" he told her with a smirk, his eyes filled with wonder of his own as he met her gaze. she was an intriguing girl and he couldn't keep his mind from wondering about what made her so special.

"it's a pleasure to meet you, lexi." he told her with a smirk as he finally pushed the human aside to extend his hand to shake the vampire's hand. "and thank you, it was a small dream from two very bored vampires and we were finally able to make it happen. we felt like beacon hills would be a good spot to test the idea when we noticed that there were many others of us lurking around. we're happy you could stop by and check out our bar. i do hope you enjoy yourself." he told her as he leaned back on the couch to get more comfortable. he was definitely enjoying himself during the opening night and he hoped others would too.

"i think i've had enough of her, would you like any before we go back up to enjoy the party? she has the loveliest O negative blood, you've got to try it." eric asked with a wicked grin, his fangs peaking out from his lips as he took a glance at the scared human and then back up at the girl.

His sarcasm was not something Hayley could tolerate, her normal temper was replaced by one in tatters, only able to tolerate minor inconveniences. His mocking nature was beginning to grate her, from even a small interaction. "You know , your tone implies that you are enjoying this. For some of us, the events we are enduring are a major inconvenience, or even life changing." She rolled her eyes, exhaling a sigh. "I suggest you quit whilst you are ahead, or before you regret your choice of words."

"ooh a feisty puppy - that's cute." the vampire said with a smirk, he could smell the wolf on her but he also noticed he could not hear her heartbeat or the blood pumping through her veins, she had to be immortal as well. "but you're dead like me too, aren't you? that's not so fun." he said with a sigh as he looked her up and down, trying to imagine what exactly he was up against if he continued to push her buttons. eric hadn't run into any hybrids before, all he knew was what he had heard from rumors and they were quite dangerous to vampires. "it's okay, i come in peace." eric finally said with a small chuckle as he raised his hands above his head in defeat. "i'm sorry for making light of your major inconveniences. i'm not exactly enjoying it, it's just intriguing and i happen to have a sense of humor. no more jokes though -- happy?" eric really wasn't in the mood to die tonight so he was going to have to agree with the girl about stopping while he was ahead.

Their relationship had held highlights, ones of which she thought of fondly, remembering those moments as if they were only yesterday. It was easy to fixate upon the negatives, and there was no denying there had been a few. However, it had been a long time, and Miray had moved on from what they had. She had never found love, but she only hoped one day, life would be kind to her. She had her fair share of poor relationships, and hoped this may change for her this time. "As kind as that is , I will decline , there is no way I am going to spend time with you and your lover." She rolled her eyes, folding her arms across her chest. She did not wish to intrude, or make an enemy so early on during her time in Beacon Hills. "No offence." She added, a smirk returning to her face. At mention of The Originals, Miray nodded. "I cannot say I have met them, in my 700 years, I have skilfully avoided them, perhaps -- until now."

"fair -- the invitation is always open though if you change your mind." he told her with a smirk as he nodded. it was understandable why she wouldn't want to spend any time with him and pam but it was nice to at least to be on seemingly decent terms with her. in a town full of strangers and dangerous vampires and other creatures, it was good to have someone around that you could trust at least a little bit. "i can't say i've had the pleasure of meeting them either, maybe that'll change soon though. i always find a way to get myself in trouble." eric enjoyed pushing people's buttons and it never did end well for him, if you're immortal you might as well have some fun and push the exact bounds of your mortality while you're at it. "if they give you any trouble or anyone else for that matter, you know where to find me." it wasn't often that the vampire offered to do anything for anyone unless it helped him in some way but the girl was an old friend and he preferred to stay on her good side, especially with everything that was unfolding in this town. it was better to make friends than make more enemies.

For a moment, he was oblivious to who was sat beside him, and truth was, he was happy to be oblivious even for just a moment. He was tired of avoiding friendships, in fear that whom sat beside him may cause pain and anguish to those he cared for. He was tired of making sacrifices for this, and thus, he had taken a step to ease up a little. So far, being overly cautious had not paid off, and therefore, a new approach needed to be considered. The discussion on Mystic Falls dampened the mood, but it was not a topic that could be easily avoided. They had arrived following a difficult situation, and despite this, Jeremy intended to see the plus points of it, reducing any heartache of what was lost. "Yeah well , the countless bad things that happened in Mystic Falls , maybe it was a blessing in disguise?"

"maybe it was a blessing in disguise, i guess we'll see." the vampire said with a shrug as he took a sip of his drink and met the man's gaze. he was intrigued, he wondered exactly what the human experienced in mystic falls and if the town had the same supernatural problem that beacon hills was having. he didn't know much about mystic falls but he was sure that beacon hills would probably bring many more bad things with the way things were already going. he didn't want to burst the man's bubble though, this town didn't need any fear and hysteria added on to everything else unfolding. "to new beginnings -- and blessings in disguise, i guess. hopefully this town will be good to both of us." eric said as he raised his glass to toast.

"sounds like a plan, i'll be looking forward to it. just let me know when and i'll be there." the viking replied with a smile, he was actually excited for something that didn't involve blood, sex, or violence for the first time in a long time. it truly was nice to connect with his old world with the woman and he was looking forward to the connection the two would make. she reminded him of his home. he nodded at her words with a soft smile, sometimes he got so lost in his vampiric ways and needed that reminder. the vampire had enough talk about himself and he was very much more interested in her, he wanted to change their conversation before the uncomfortable feelings that came with being comforted and thanking someone began to set in. "tell me more about yourself, tatiana. you're a very fascinating woman -- your gifts are intriguing."

the young woman followed the vampire obediently, the silence between the two of them as they walked was comfortable, yet somehow it only increased faye's need to be alone with him. luckily, he wish was granted pretty quickly, considering eric happened to only live a five minute walk from the bar. it was rather convenient really. eyes flicked up to study the building, a smirk toying at the corners of her lips, until she was then pulled inside. as soon as the door was shut behind them, eric was on her. his hand wrapped around her neck, pulling her closer and pressing his body against hers. faye peered up at him, lust filled eyes drinking him in. she saw the slight glint of his fangs peeking through his lips, and bit her bottom lip softly, making an attempt at hiding her excitement in that moment. though.. she wasn't doing a very good job. as eric spoke, faye then tipped her head to the side ever so slightly. a pout settled on plump lips. "what? i don't even get the grand tour?" the witch then chuckled softly then hummed quietly. a manicured fingertip moved to rest against his body, her eyes flicking down as she traced over the buckle of his belt, then slowly traced her finger all the way up the center of his torso, until she then rested her finger beneath his chin, her gaze once again meeting his. "nevermind, the tour can wait. now.. tell me, eric.. where do you want me? in the living room, on the couch.. right here against the wall.. maybe the kitchen, over the counter. or did you just wanna' take me straight upstairs to the master bedroom?" faye spoke, her every word dripping with seduction.

"let's start on the couch since it's closest since i can't wait any fucking longer. and then we'll make our way around. how's that sound sweetheart?" the vampire murmured with a smirk, his fangs protruding from his lips as he guided her to his living room. suddenly with a blink of an eye, he found his way on top of her as he laid her carefully on the couch, licking his lips as he took in the sweet scent of her blood. his fingers trailed up her body until they found their way caressing her face. "you smell so good i can't wait to taste you, darling." he told her with another deep inhale, his fangs dragged softly down her neck once again teasingly. "have you ever had the pleasure of sleeping with a vampire before? if this is your first time, i'll try to be gentle. but if it isn't -- i'll make sure not to hold back." he growled after placing a kiss on her lips once more before dragging his fangs down her throat again.

the vampire nodded as he listened intently to tatia. his gaze was fixed on her as she talked about her father, it was nice to be reminded of their old world and what it took to be a leader back then. the world has changed so much and meeting this girl tonight suddenly brought him back to those times. her words about his father brought a rare soft smile on his face. it was kind of nice being around a girl who could listen to his thoughts, she knew exactly what to say to ease his mind even if he didn't say what was troubling him out loud - something he really didn't care to do. maybe if she was someone else he would've been irritated but in this moment he felt seen by someone who understood the world that he lived in as a human, it was comforting. "oh, how i miss the days wielding my sword and shield in battles. the night i was reborn was on the battlefield." he told her as he reminisced about his life back then, at some point fangs became more useful than his sword and he slowly left the viking world behind as the rest of the world began to change too. "aufúsa -- thank you." the vampire told her graciously at her next words, it was a reminder he needed to hear sometimes.

sookie felt a sense of pride when eric genuinely complimented her home. to southern standards it was the best type of compliment to receive. it kept her spirits high even when she mentally and physically was starting to crash due to everything she had been going through the last couple of hours. " thank you, i try my best with the funds i have. " due to only being a waitress, she couldn't afford a lot. still she tried her hardest to make it a home she could be proud of. eric probably had experienced a far better lifestyle then she could ever provide, still she tried not to think about it too much. instead she tried to be present and live in the moment. perhaps it would be the last time she would ever be in the presence of a man with such a beauty and pride.

the moment sookie revealed her true intentions of getting him into her bedroom was the moment sookie could see the regret flashing in his eyes. perhaps sookie truly was foolish and thought he was genuine with her and wanted to help out more then claim her as his own to do and toy with as he pleased. once more she tried to remain optimistic of the situation. " it should be over there. " she pointed at the other empty corner and watched him in awe of his strength. she had known he was powerful but seeing it with her own eyes proved her what she could not comprehend. even when she was impressed, she still couldn't help herself yawning. and once she started, it seemed she wasn't capable of stopping. " thank you. " she muttered, her eyes starting to flutter close every so often.

she would lower herself on her back, getting in a more comfortable position by placing her head upon her pillow and hugging another pillow between her arms. " hey, would you take a seat and tell me about you ?? " she asked her eyes looking clouded by the tiredness that was trying to take claim of her. " i do really want to get to know you. " she hoped he wouldn't be offended or take his leave. who knew when she would see him again. she doubted he truly was that interested in her.

the vampire brought the closet with ease to the empty corner she was pointing to and then turned to her with a soft smile as he noticed her yawns and eye flutters. he still had a few hours left before the sun began to rise and he wasn't tired quite yet but for a human, it was understandably very late. even if he didn't quite get what he was expecting from the girl tonight, he was grateful for the invitation into her home and he was sure this wouldn't be the last time he would find his way into her bedroom. it was nice watching sookie in her safe space, getting comfortable as she lowered herself onto her back and hugging a pillow. with all the chaos he put her through tonight, it was nice to see her settle down and get cozy. eric took a seat at the end of her bed after she asked, he wouldn't say no to an invitation to spend more time with the girl if she was requesting it. "i don't mind staying a bit longer but if you do get too tired, i can see myself out. the sun will be coming up in a few hours anyways." he told her as he took a glance at the dark sky outside of her window and then back at her. he took a moment to admire her in her current state before speaking - there was something beautiful and innocent about the tired flutters of her eyes as she hugged her pillow close to her. a smirk curled up his face as he began to feel like he was reading her a bedtime story to fall asleep to.

"well -- i'm a very old vampire. i was a viking in my human life, my father was our king. once i was reborn as an immortal, i lived many different lives, traveled the world with the vampire who made me and changed as the world around us began to change too." he told her, he didn't care to talk about himself especially with humans so he wasn't quite sure where to start but this seemed like a decent way to start. "up until the 80s, i roamed the world and had my fun with my own progeny, pam. i got us into some trouble in france and we have just now moved to beacon hills to get out of that trouble, i guess." he confessed with a sigh, the thought of sylvie was a reminder to eric about how relationships with humans weren't the best idea and would probably end badly for him and bring more trouble, but he tried to brush off the thought as he met sookie's gaze again. there was something different about her compared to other humans, she was special. "i've lived a long time though, there's a lot to say. what is it that you'd like to know about me?"
