since i’m so late to this i’d find it unfair to reblog the post without mentioning the fact that howl, you’ve made an apology post which i would like to acknowledge in and of itself. it is good of you that you’ve owned up to some of the concerns in the post and i really hope you mean it when you say that you’ll change and stop writing and abetting the likes of incest and other such things.
forgive me for being a touch skeptical on the honesty of your apology, however, in that it had to come after a callout post was, in fact, made when similar concerns had been brought to you prior to this by various people; the fact that you were denouncing lauren as a bully for voicing her complaints and stating that she didn’t want to interact with you, when you had quite literally put @/yotou’s and @/voidsung‘s urls on your rules page and labelled them as people with whom you didn’t want to interact is reason for doubting your words, too. i’m worried that you’re only really concerned about your image through all of this. that said, you still apologized and admitted to having done bad things: i don’t want that to go unacknowledged, at least on my part.
i also hope i seem like im trying to fan the flames; i don’t want there to be any flames to speak of, really. like tsu said, i’d hate for this to boil down into some kind of bullying wherein we fail to attest to the real damage and hurt that’s been had over all of this. as such, i want everyone to look critically at what’s transpired and understand that this isn’t some schoolyard “drama”; we’re talking about incest, transphobia, lack of regard for personal boundaries, vaguing, slander, among other things. if you look at this and see the users who wrote this post and who have voiced their issues with howl as “bullies” or people who are “just as bad as howl”, you are tremendously underestimating what’s been going on, and overlooking numerous people’s qualms with things that reasonably bother them. if you wish to paint everyone with the same brush and interpret this as “drama for drama’s sake” or “unnecessary”, i guess that’s your decision; you are, however, wrong.
