#i know people have started criticizing the#‘men are afraid of getting laughed at women are afraid of getting killed’#but this is real?
Oh, yes.
A few years ago I went to pick up a woman I met on OKCupid for a date, and a friend of hers was there. They kind of over-explained “Oh, she just showed up to say hi” and there was a vague nervousness in the air that even my autistic ass was picking up on. Her friend was playing conspicuously with her phone. I went “Ah, the safety. Need to get a picture?”
Dead silence for about a second and a half, then the friend took a picture, looked at my date, and said “Have fun” and walked out the door.
(I would ordinarily have been clueless, but I’d just been asked to be the safety the previous night.)
My advice to male-presenting folks: recognize that this not your problem. By which I mean, this sort of security check isn’t a problem for you. It doesn’t hurt you. You aren’t being insulted or disrespected. And if you treat it like what it is– a reasonable adaptation to an unreasonable situation– and just roll with it, your dates will be more comfortable, and you will have a better time as a result.
The same applies to phone calls mid-date. Let them answer the damn phone without drama.
They aren’t accusing you of being a dangerous person. The very fact that they are willing to go on a goddamn date with you means that they have extended a certain level of trust. But the fact remains that there isn’t really a way to distinguish between “a man who isn’t dangerous” and “a man who knows how to behave like he’s not dangerous.”
there isn’t really a way to distinguish between “a man who isn’t dangerous” and “a man who knows how to behave like he’s not dangerous.”
And girls, if you don’t do safety checks before you go out with them - you need to start!
Hi Purv!
You wrote for not so long time ago and mentioned that you and your husband have an open sexual relationship. So I wonder if you had right now an opportunity to spend in bed who would you chose:
Sam
Tobias
Sam+Tobias
???
Hi Anon, I'm not married, I've lived with my man for years, but we're not legally married. Part of the reason we're not married is because, yes, as I've said before, we have an open relationship. Sooooo,
As for Sam, Tobias? Well, it would be Tobias all day, every day, and twice on Sunday for a LONG time. I don't think I'd ever get tired of that man. 😍 Those mischievous twinkly eyes, that little smirk, THAT voice, and we've all seen what he's packing 🍆😋 so yeah, I wouldn't come up for air for awhile.
But once I did, I'd definitely give Sam a go. I mean, he's beautiful, he's got a sexy voice too, amazing body, and he's a Taurus--they're known for their sensuality, stamina, and wanting to please their partner. 😉😍
Then, I would move on to Graham. He'd have to wear a kilt. And I'd be on my knees pledging, "I swear by the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the holy iron that I hold, to give ye my fealty and pledge ye my loyalty to the name of clan Mackenzie," except I'd take out the Lord Jesus Christ part, and replace it with my Laird Graham McTavish, um, cuz I'm not a total heathen 😊. And he'd look down at me, caress my head, and say "now, that's a good lass."
Then, continuing with my tour of Scotland, I'd give Rik Rankin a go Something about all that glorious thick auburn hair all over him makes me want to rub myself all over him. We'd be naked on a bear skin rug by a roaring fireplace and he'd be whispering Scottish sweet nothings to me, which I wouldn't understand because that Glaswegian accent is thick, but oh so sexy. 🏴 ❤️
Eventually, I'd need something new and would head down south to France where my petit baguette, or hopefully, not so petit 😉 awaits me, Monsieur César Domboy. 🇨🇵🥖 Oh là là, there's just that je ne sais quoi about French men, n'est ce pas? 😚
Then, I'd be right back on my Tobias rotation. I mean, c'mon, just look 👇 at what he knows about pacing a kiss, and just the right pressure, and mmm, pacing and just the right pressure on um, other parts, well...omg is it getting hot in here? 😊
I hope that answers your question, Anon. 🤗
PS. As for Tobias + Sam. Nope, I'd want Tobias all to myself. No distractions from anyone else. Just me and Tobs aka #purvias💘
I have a feeling Richard Rankin is a dirty, dirty man too 🥵 🔥 just my type 🤣🤣🤣

Time for crab
I saw this annual migration when I was on Christmas Island about 10 years ago - it’s incredible and they are so noisy!! They walk straight through houses if the doors are open. The local authorities have built tunnels under roads for them to pass safely without being squished.
These photos are from 2007 - phone cameras have improved a lot since then!
English added by me :)

Sam’s new book will be out in October. The pre-order link is below. It sounds very interesting. He mentioned about this book in the show with Josh Horowitz in New York City on March 1.
