no. because desert song is tragedy. it is the sound of despair and hopelessness and aching and not knowing how youre gonna wake up in the morning. its addiction and failing and hating yourself and grieving and it was recorded alone drunk and broken. and its stripped down and lonely. it sounds like a cry for help. screaming until your throat bleed just begging someone to see you. but then tonight that play it gently. with gorgeous strings and strong vocals in wembley fucking stadium two decades later and it doesnt sound like despair anymore it sounds like hope. like rebirth. they just put a whole new life into her and now it feels like being able to look back on your broken self and say truthfully "you are going to be okay after all"

in the span of one week dan howell has said he regrets the phan hiatus bc they couldve just come out and been happy and gerard is on stage talking about how he hopes to play wembley again someday bc they love playing together and have missed eachother. right.
