3. Ectomorph - They find it difficult to gain weight, and also do not have curvy figures. Weight gain for them is very slow or absent. Typically they have a small bone structure and a fast metabolism. The website characterized them as having narrow shoulders and hips, thin and narrow faces, a thin and narrow chest/abdomen with very little body fat…thin legs and arms. The ‘ecto’ celebrity example is Cameron Diaz
4. Endomorph - Endo women are defined by having a thicker body type than most girls and probably a bigger bone structure. These will be the curvier girls that have to watch what they eat…like endo men. Their traits are wide hips and narrow shoulders, which will make them appear rather pear-shaped. Likely, they’ll carry softer a appearance due to higher body fat, including upper arms and thighs. Noted for having a wide bone structure and slower metabolism and tend to hide muscle gains because of the “soft” look. A great endomorph celebrity example is Kim Kardashian.
5. Mesomorph - She’ll naturally carry more muscle than her friends. Woman meso’s are defined by having naturally muscular and curvy physiques. They carry a little more body fat if they aren’t very careful and are built like gymnasts. Meso’s are characterized as having broad shoulders, dense muscular curvy figures. They’ll typically have a medium amount of body fat with long torsos, full chests, and a good shoulder to waist ratio. A great celebrity example of a mesomorph is Michelle Rodriguez. I (Gio) would like to add Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Serena Williams, KeKe Palmer, Maria Sharapova, Kelly Rowland, and Angelina Jolie.

What’s Your Body Type; Ectomorph, Endomorph, or Mesomorph? Pt. 1 (men)
Luckily, the body type classification system is not a hard science to understand and once I give you this quick lesson you’ll be able to easily identify a person’s body type thru visual observation. In part two I’ll cover the female variation. Under the terms of sports medicine, humans fit into these three body types.
FOR MEN
1. Ectomorph - This type is skinny. They don’t have much muscle nor body fat either. Their limbs are long and muscles are stretched so they are not designed for strength and power. They have a resistance to gaining muscle and fat. Think ‘slender’ or 'tall and narrow.’ Generally small shoulders and chest. A perfect referencing would be an average adolescent body; an 'ecto’ would look the same in adulthood.
2. Endomorph - This is where I think I fit in. This type is your “average.” I can get fat, I also can be extremely skinny, and with effort, I can become muscular. In this category, you have to be careful with food because you can lose and gain weight like nobody’s business. This build is average. They can be slim or overweight.
3. Mesomorph - This is virtually the premium category. The 'meso’ body type is the utmost ideal physique which has been replicated everywhere as the archetype of fitness and strength for men. Their resemblance is the destination for most men’s fitness goals. The real natural mesomorphs do not have to work-out to be stronger and bigger or more muscular than others. You can identify them by their athletic builds, dense compact muscle structures, or hulking appearances. May I also point out that this body type is the most versatile so they can be fairly lean and ripped, short and stocky, or big husky and brawny. The sheer indicator for a meso is dense musculature (no matter the size of the person) and above average strength.
