Vincent was always grateful the moment he was free from the usual holiday family gatherings. While he wasn’t as awful about being around his family as his father was it all still tended to be overwhelming. “At least now I’m free for awhile, I need some sanity. What’s the first thing we should do?”

“I don’t know what it says about me that my own sister would kill me if I hurt you.”

“It’s definitely for the best. Cuts down on the risk of the crazy genes being spread around too much.”
“Our genes aren’t all crazy.”
“I guess I don’t have to know, since he didn’t run off afterwards. But I am still curious. Damn it.” Jill sighed, letting out a laugh. “I’m glad you approve of him, though. I don’t know what I would do if you didn’t.”
“I will give you that I made his death sound very painful if he ever hurt you, and he told me while he appreciates my approval it’s not necessary as long as you want him around he’ll be around.”

Jill wasn’t surprised that they had talked, or that she hadn’t heard about it, but she was still kind of curious. “You’re kidding,” she blinked, tilting her head. “When did that happen?”
“That I will keep between the two of us since it went well. Otherwise I would rat him out and tell all of his secrets to convince you to leave him. But he actually seems like a decent guy that actually genuinely loves you. So I suppose he can live.”

“If he wanted to leave, I’d let him leave. He shouldn’t be saddled with me if he doesn’t want to be, but I’m really hoping that never becomes a problem.”
“Jill I’ve seen him with you. I’ve also talked to him and he’s the first guy to actually talk back to me saying you could handle yourself if he broke your heart.”

“I don’t know, maybe someday. It’s kind of weird to think about, though.”
“I think any of us Peter Hale children becoming monogamous is a weird thing for the world, but maybe it’s for the best.”

“I don’t think that he would. If he didn’t when he found out about my moms and how Adrian was conceived, I think him running off isn’t a possibility. At least, that’s what I’m hoping.”
“I don’t think that he is either, but I just want to make it clear what does happen if he changes his mind.”

“Oh no,” Gwen laughed. “Whatever am I going to do.”
“Be the most spoiled woman to exist?” He suggested curiously as he reached up brushing her hair back, “I will make sure you never question where my heart is.”

“I don’t think monogamy was ever expected of either of us, considering our dad.” She admitted with a shrug, “I guess we’re an anomaly.”

“Fine then you’re not getting out of this ever, you’re officially stuck with me,” Vincent teased as he pulled her to him,”
