cannot help but recommend The Newsreader so far... ESPECIALLY if you're Australian. queer representation wrapped within the gripping era of 1980s television news, watching how personal lives intertwine with prioritising a career so hellbent on achieving the 'best scoop' for your network.

also the fact that we even have a show like this that's set in Australia and feels very Aussie? seeing queer rep in a setting like this on my screen when it feels like it's often more so found in America or Britain? having even the struggles of women or even POC in the behind-the-scenes of broadcast television? holy hell. WATCH this damn show.
