[ blargh I'm sorry for the recent absence the past two days have been particularly stressful; I should be back either later tonight or tomorrow! ]

no. you didn’t. oh, dear god. D:
It was quite the show, really.

And this was looking to be such a nice greeting post as well. Ah well, hello the two of your who do seem to be acceptably pleasant.

I apologize for the delay with the greeting; these things do seem to catch up on me. Regardless, welcome.
...Turns out that putting water on hot oil is a bad idea.
Persuasive huh? Well I won’t deny trying to charm you into visiting my neck of the woods.
A villainous scientists? I’ve come across a few of those in my long tenure. I suppose living in a place such as rainbow falls would be a little more acceptable, if you lived right in the middle of Dr. No’s laboratory. Once you swing by town, I can show you around a few more villain’s secret lairs, since you already have experience with the field.
And I won't deny that it's most certainly working. You're quite interesting, Mister Drews, and though granted curiosity has been the death of me before I believe a lonely lady in a large house is allowed to have her vices.
You can blame my mother for most of it; she was a unique character to be sure. It can be quite the foreboding scenery with all the stark pines and barren winds, especially during a nice thunderstorm or in the colder months. And I will certainly be looking forward to that, this is looking to be quite the adventure.
What a brutal kind of present to give to a lady.
Well if you're ever interested in lessons, I humbly offer my hand in assistance.
I do have my own means of protection but I certainly won't turn down your offer. I can't say I was never interested in learning out of pure curiosity; simple lack of opportunity being the only thing preventing it before.
I suppose I'll just leave it to the side for now, though luckily I don't think accidentally setting off a gun counts as either Heroic or Just so I should be just fine for the time being.
Thank you for the, ah, gift, Anon, but I'm afraid it's a bit useless to me even if I was in need of it as I have absolutely no idea how to shoot a gun.
you might be needing this sometime soon!
The thing is, Miss Lalonde, Midnight City is like visiting Paris. You can’t just inquire the guidebook, you’ve got to throw yourself in. Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, get charged double and end up kissing complete strangers! Or is that just me? Regardless, if you ever need a guide to Midnight City I would be happy to oblige.
Also Rainbow falls? What a delectable kind of name, are you sure you haven’t taken up residence near a colorful children’s summer camp.
I think I just might take you up on that offer if you truly wouldn't mind. Wouldn't want such persuasive words to go to waste, now would we?
Oh, I assure you it's nothing of the sort. Or at least if it ever was such days are long past, and whatever children once frolicked here have been properly disposed of. The name is quite a nice bit of irony, you see, as my home resembles something along the lines of a fine villa crossed with the laboratory of some kind of acceptably villainous scientist.
In Norse folklore, Bäckahästen (or the brook horse) is a sly horse tricking children to ride on its back, just to drag them down in the water to drown. The more children that get on the horse, the longer it gets. In some stories it’s Nixie in the shape of a horse.
This is for Myra, as she wanted more people to draw brook horses. ♥
