The CEOs keep the stores open because people go out to shop earlier and earlier for Black Friday, and therefore the logic follows that people would shop on Thanksgiving- and they were right, people do that. No one shopping on Thanksgiving - no stores would be open. The consumers who shop on Thanksgiving are a huge part of the problem, and the people who apologize for being a part of that as if they aren’t the reason that CEOs keep the stores open - they’re infuriating.

It’s shitty to pretend you care about the people you’re being shitty to.
