It’s always crazy how Pjo fanfic authors manage to romanticize Annabeth’s grey eyes because as someone with grey eyes no one ever says anything like that. It’s always just “oh wow they’re really… grey huh” not once has anyone referred to my eyes as stormy or thunderous or rainy. Most times people don’t even notice them. The amount of people in my life that have known me for ages and can’t tell you what my eye color is simply because they are genuinely completely devoid of color and just generally bland they just don’t really get noticed. Like those sure are eyes but that’s it.

EXACTLY!! To me Leo is genderqueer.

I also can’t see Percy being fully in the middle, and personally I’ve always sort of headcanoned him as being like, genderfluid (probably me projecting) and like going by he/she pronouns. Idk, I think it’s an idea I may have to explore further.
