And what if rap WAS only about sex, violence, and drugs... what then? Would you be justified in looking down upon it as not being "real" art? What would your justification be? Sex is immoral and taboo? Drugs should never be mentioned outside of D.A.R.E programs? Songs about violence turn children to it? Would you turn that standard to other genres as well? the ashtrays in airplane bathrooms are a fascinating harm reduction metaphor. yes it's illegal as hell to smoke in there. yes there's a smoke detector that will snitch on you the second you light up. so why is there an ashtray? because if there weren't, your single momentary dumbass crime could kill 300 people. it is fucking vital that if someone does have a lit cigarette on a plane, they have a place to safely put it out.

I hate when people do the whole alternate Percy fell into Tartarus alone or with someone else bit because I think people forget that Tartarus really starts as Annabeth's story, not Percys. Annabeth is the one who was always going to fall, Percy only fell BECAUSE he wouldn't let her fall alone. There is no reasonable scenario where Percy would have fallen in without her. But of course as always people love to erase women from stories.

Because as much as some people pretend to hate Annabeth they love inserting their fav's into her storylines.
