@vintageknittingproject
From Vogue Knitting Holiday 1986 This is the first in a series I want to call, “But why, mummy?” The quote “cats lurk everywhere” is my second favorite part about this. Also, since the name of this blog is The Vintage Knitting Project, I want to let you know that I will be taking on actually projects from these magazines. I’m going all out ridiculous. This will be my first one. I’m kind of thinking about buying the yarn right now.
I officially finished this sweater!!!
Bernat book #578 1985 Happy October, everyone! I hope you have as much fun with paisley as she is.
Vogue Knitting Winter/Fall 1987 A little late posting this, but enjoy
You guys may remember me saying that I was taking on this project from Vogue Knitting Holiday 1986. Well, here’s the front chart done, without the eye detail (that gets duplicate stitched in afterwards). All the other pieces are done, so soon I’m having a blocking party!

@vintageknittingproject a look
Bernat Book # 578 1985 Maybe you’ve always needed a pastel pink vest to wear your dramatic ascot with. Also, I promise I’m still alive guys. I’m just bad at keeping up with things.
Happy August

Welcome to July everyone!
Patons Easy Crochet #498 1987
look at this strange couple Also those sweaters are CROCHETED.
Vogue Knitting Fall/Winter 1987 It’s summer!
Anny Blatt #73 1985 What I’ve learned from looking at these 80′s patterns is that you NEED to wear sunglasses and that your hair should be as tall as your ambition.
Woman’s Day 101 Sweaters #11 1978 I found Burt Reynolds in this Woman’s Day knitting magazine.
Bernat Book #578 1985 I know I’m a bit late on this one, but it’s June! Also, this comes from a booklet that is only one pattern for a vest. Then every picture is just to show how versatile it is. Also, observe her business face.
Woman’s Day 101 Sweaters #11 1978 Coming back to serve you guys some more Best Friend looks. You and your pal could wear these western tunics, complete with fringe.

I, too, like to hang out in my bright whites risking serious grass stains while chilling with nature’s least chill animal, the goose.
