violet looked the man over, careful to not let her gaze seem obvious — though she didn’t really mind if he caught on. she shrugged her shoulders after he spoke, thinking over her approach in her head. “i was about to go get something for dinner, did you want to join me?” she suggested as she offered the man a smile. “i understand if you’d rather just stay in your room, but i figured it’d be a nice gesture to make up for you saving me from be stranded in the hallway.”

as his motorcycle roared to a halt, brennan steadied himself into a parking space and killed the engine. the scorching summer sun was relentless, beating down against his leather clad torso and all but cooking the skin underneath. july was a rough month for a scorpion, but discomfort was a small price to pay for safety. hastily slipping his arms free from the sleeves and stuffing his jacket into one of his saddlebags, he began making his way toward the diner when he spotted a familiar face, giving them a quick nod of the head in greeting.

violet heard the roar of the engine from outside the windows of the diner, immediately recognizing the boy’s face as she watched him park. the red head wouldn’t dare let ehr eyes linger on him for too long in public — while she was intrigued she knew better than to give herself an untimely death wish. as he looked back at her their eyes locked for a second before catching his subtle greeting. she rolled her eyes in response, not needing to add attention to them by giving him a nice gesture. “does that usually work?”
