Morana wasnât that dumb, she was smart enough to know that fighting with the other would prove both challenging and slightly dangerous. However the other had been greatly wrong about whom she had been speaking about. The footsteps grew louder and louder as they approached.
âOh no Captain Unohana,â she snickered. âI havenât killed a shinigami in so long. I hope you donât mindââ
Oh she was really edging toward mutilating one of the shinigami coming. Morana knew there would be no noticable outward reaction just by words. Even in their last confrontation words seemed to have little effect on the two. However like the saying goes, actions speak louder than words.
With a single chime of the bell around her neck the first of two shinigami had been shredded. Clawed hands painted red with blood and Morana seemed rather delighted in the kill. The other one practically froze for a moment and she even allowed him to draw his sword before clawed fingers ripped through his throat like jell-o.
Now if that didnât spark a reaction out of the other, well that would just be plain boring. She licked some of the blood off her hand and then attempted to wash her face up within the first few seconds.
âI donât see how all these weak shinigami can even stand a chance against thoseâŠ.,â she paused thinking of the word. âWhat do you call them? Quincy?â
Even if Unohana warned the other shinigamis approaching not to come any closer, that would be no use. By warning them, they will get themselves killed. Also, they would end up getting killed anyways if she were to tell them to quickly escape and get as far from the area as possible. The only one that can handle this situation would be Unohana, herself. Other people than herself would be useless, and a burden as well. They would make things worse even. Unohana was one that never fought on the battle field when becoming the fourth division captain, but if she had no choice, but to fight, then she wished to do it somewhere where no one would bother them. There was no need for others to see that side of her.Â
Hearing footsteps, and two shinigami men calling out her name, she warned them not to come closer. Though, it was useless, and she knew that. The moment she heard the sound of their bell, it was already too late. The shinigamis that had arrived on scenes would lose their lives. She would be able to save them, if the hollow didnât decide to go overboard with them, but that was very unsightly. She would kill them.Â
The captain saw how the two shinigami were mutilated by the hollow. She watched as the hollow was enjoying themselves, not caring of what was happening. Was this the fun they had wished to have? If so, Unohana would have no choice, but to stop them. But, she had lives that needed to be saved. There was little choice she had now. Though, in order to prevent more lives to be lost by the hollow, she would have to stop the hollow.Â
A hand was moved onto the sheath of her zanpakuto, as eyes narrowed on the hollow. As a captain, Unohana knew acting rash was something that was not suggestive to do. She had to keep the calm posture that she would always carry around when with or around others. If they were expecting a reaction from her, there was her reaction. Her remaining calm and getting onto the defensive side. If they would bring anymore harm, she would fight them. If it would keep them from preventing more lives being lost, sheâd gladly go with that choice.Â
âYou certainly seemed to be carrying some knowledge on Quincies. Though, you donât seem to know the whole story. Quincies are suppose to be extinct, but here they are making a return after hiding from shinigamis, for all these years. But, even if they had made a âgrand return', we are willing to fight them. Allowing them to take over Soul Society, is not an option for us. Unless, you wish to see them end the world as you know it, then you are welcome to enjoy it and watch.â
