more things i’ve discovered after 2 years of raising garden snails:

- they will wiggle their eye stalks in excitement - they have favorite places to sleep and favorite friends to sleep with - they’re good for your skin so let them run around on ur face!!! - they can feel their shells, which means they can feel u pet them (pet gently!!) - u can help a snail with a broken shell by giving it eggshells or cuttlebones to scrape (the calcium helps them patch up!) - they like a change of scenery and will explore all day if u change something - absolute cuddle bugs. love to snuggle with u, with friends, with dirt - u can hear them chew!! listen closely when u feed them….. asmr - as distinct as snowflakes, every single one is different!! i can tell all of my snails apart easily - babies. absolute baby children - speaking of babies, baby garden snails are no bigger than raindrops and translucent… delicate!! keep in a separate enclosure until they’re bigger!! baby jail!!! - some snails are shy……… kiss them. they are important

28. Favorite month and why

OCTOBER!

1. Thats my birthday month, and i love my birthday.

2. Halloween, bitch!!! I love creepy and spooky things and Halloween is my fave holiday. I love the bats and spiders and pumpkins and shit. Like fuck me up with those halloween decorations b!!

3. Fall leaves and chill winds but still sun-shiney and amazing. I love it.

4. Autumn weather is literally my favorite. There is a certain smell in autumn air that is amazing. Like a very faint whiff of fire wood, autumb leaves, and.. static electricity haha.

4. Eating soup isn't so weird anymore. I'm crazy about soup and people think i'm insane for craving soup in the summer time lmao

5. Sweater weather!! I LOVE SWEATERS AND BLANKETS. To be comfy is to be happy for me hahah

1. Cruelty to other humans or living being. I will not put up with it.

2. Ignorance. Live your life how you want, but if you consistently bury your head in the sand instead of ask questions and discover things on your own, I don't have the patience for you.

3. Anyone who says, "well that's just who i am." --like ok cool. But everyone, everywhere, and any time is capable of changing for the better. Because nobody is perfect. There is always room to grow. And when you decide you are done growing is when I am no longer interested in your story. Stories develop. So should you.

4. Two faced behavior. Keep your word. Be consistent. I want to know /you/, not who you believe I want to know. Don't waste my time.

24. Throwback Thursday

Throwback to this summer when my neice and I caught a frog. We looked at him. Watched him for a bit, then released him back out into the yard. She loved him so much, and said, "Well if I can't keep him, i'll just have to make my dad take me to the pet store to buy a puppy." 😂

23. Have you ever been in trouble with the law?

Besides the time I got pulled over going 95 in a 65, no. My anxiety is too much for me to go out of my way to be bad. I was an asshole teenager at that time.

I'd put the funds into a savings bond account for the next 5 years with a decent interest rate so my daughter can go to college or start her life off on the right foot. Her bio mom is a fucking waste and she deserves to start life off without having to take care of her mother.

21. Martin Luther King Jr Day

This is one of my daughter's favorite holidays and it sincerely brings joy to my heart that she believes in this so deeply. It reminds me of my own passion for this history when I was her age.

She cares about equality. She believes in fairness. She gets deeply upset when she hears about unjust happenings. Such a pure and beautiful soul.

MLKJ day is a great time to reflect on and remember all of the hardfought challenges and battles our friends of color have had to fight for their rights. They have paved the way for our generations to inherit a world better than the one they endured.

The fight is far from over. Equality is still a struggle even to this day. We all need to continue fighting for what is just. What is right. What is fair.

My daughter's love and passion for this reminds me every day that I need to keep fighting too. For her. For her generation. For our future.

20. Sunday 7

I'm... not sure what to do here tbh and Urban Dictionary has failed me. I'm gonna assume I should list 7 things about my day?

1. Well this last Sunday I move in with a friend temporarily because my family are all dicks.

2. I had to work all day and that stunk because I felt bad for not helping us move.

3. My kittle sister in law came back to town from being on her winter break! I'm so happy she is back home!

4. We had a birthday party at the museum that day, and they were really obnoxious. I was happy when they left.

5. The room in our temporary living space is HUGE in comparison to our old room. It is so nice to not jam my legs on the corner of my bed just to get around it.

6. School starts on Tuesday (started but w/e), and I was super stoked. My books all seem so fun and I'm excited for my classes.

7. I slept for a short time that night but i got so much more rest than I ever did at my family's house. Isn't that sad?
