the thing about sally’s “i fell in love” line during the wheel well scene is that it’s so telling of the town and it’s people. you could probably apply her logic to every townie.

lizzie stayed because she fell in love with stanley. doc stayed bc he fell in love with the people who didn’t care about his past. flo stayed because she fell in love with ramone. mcqueen stayed because he fell in love with sally, and because he fell in love with his newfound family.
