Yuuji was reluctant at first when he got hold of Ryou, but eventually warmed up(which took a while so Nobara took care of Ryou most of the time on his first 5 months of living) to this little bundle of terror.

Set 17 years before the Canon jjk modulo happened which even then, Ryou would have the appearance of a child cuz in a sense he is just like Yuuji. He just ages slower until he hits a certain age.

Which made Yuuji a little bit attached to him since, well...
