I may not post for a while...
My dad had major heart surgery today and it went great buuuut
He suffered three major strokes and two minor ones and he didn't even know who mom and I were. I may lose him soon. The doctors said if he had one more major one... it's very likely to kill him due to the damage the other strokes did to him.
I'm sorry, I just got back onto Reiji too and I just... I can't right now.
Send me URLs and I'll talk about them
"...Sometimes I miss that bright happy kid who rushed towards me, demanding my attention and affection."
Going back to my Link blog for a bit. @amnesiacknight
MY KID IS BETTER THAN YOURS!
"My brother... While he was a jerk to Chimchar I will not deny that. He did the right thing in letting the poor Pokémon go, my brother is a very harsh trainer and expects the best and Chimchar was not the right partner for him as a result."
"Either way, I am proud of Paul and all he's accomplished in life. He's an amazing trainer and I have no doubt he'll become the champion someday and surpass both me and our father...! I'm proud of my so- brother."
talkaboutpathetic:
A slow inhale steadied him, and Paul flipped through tens of ways to start this conversation. He couldn’t settle on a single one. For as supportive as Reiji was, these moments were few and far between. He didn’t exactly have experience to guide him.
And while the motions his brother were willing to go through were good, Paul knew right away that he didn’t want that. He didn’t want to distract himself and pretend that it wasn’t there. He did that every day. But before he’d figured out how to explain himself, his tongue slipped. “No.”
He didn’t mean to be so rude, but that was often the case with Reiji. He loved him. He never meant to be so rude. And yet after all these years, he hadn’t gotten rid of his bitterness–even in moments like this. He guessed, at this point, it was just habit.
“Sorry. Thanks, but. No movie.”
Well, at least Paul was able to speak, that took some of the guilt off of Reiji's heart as he nodded at Paul's words, "Alright, no movie." he agreed, a soft smile that showed his tenderness for the younger as he didn't let go of his brother either.
Somehow... He knew that Paul needed this embrace, needed it terribly right now and it was killing the former trainer deep inside his soul. "You going to be okay...? Can I ask what happened?" he was almost shy about asking Paul that, worried about his reaction would be but how could he best help his brother if he didn't know?
"I mean if you want to talk about it... Don't force it though."
talkaboutpathetic:
Home usually came with mixed emotions. Not today.
It wasn’t exactly relief that hit him when he stepped through the door though. Rather, a warm feeling of safety, allowing Paul to push the door closed with his back and just crumble down it with a heavy sigh. He had had an… interesting couple of days, and although one could say he’d made progress, there was still a lot on his mind. Things that couldn’t be resolved with his rival or Torterra alone.
And… no. He didn’t usually like this kind of affection. As a child, he had rushed into his brother’s arms all the time. But the further they grew apart, the more these hugs hurt him more than anything.
Today, Reiji was right. He needed it.
But the teenager didn’t say anything. He blinked into his brother’s shoulder, eye lashes tangling with every brush. He never knew where to start, but he was grateful. Grateful, even… for this silence.
"...." He didn't say a word, just clung to Paul and even very gently stroked the younger's hair, playing in it, he wondered what had happened? Who or what had turned his strong, wonderful brother into this broken heap and he worried, oh how he worried.
'Can I fix it this time?' there was always that fear that one day Paul would come in like this and he wouldn't be able to help, wouldn't be able to offer comfort or... No, he banished the thought, such errant ideas weren't for the current moment.
"Come on, kid... Big brother's going to make some hot chocolate, put on your favourite movie and we'll just sit and watch it together..." he whispered against the top of the other's head.
"Sound good? If you don't want to speak yet, just nod or shake your head."
He’s still pissed, a cup of coffee sat on the table before him that had grown cold hours ago. His brother was sleeping in his old room and that child had caused this. Though, the breeder was sure with the hateful words he’d flung at her, she’d more than learned her lesson. At least he hoped so. Dawn wasn’t a bad kid by any means after all and he didn’t really bear any true ill will towards her. But... Paul would always come first, before anybody else.

The reason I keep linking to @violethairedidiot ? That was my very first blog for this dork. Old habits die hard l m a o
diamond-dandruff:
That hurt. Reggie was not an angry man. At least, not that Dawn had ever seen. She felt like a rock had dropped into her stomach and briefly–for a second–she felt scared. Then she felt so angry she almost kicked his white picket fence, but she stopped herself before she did so by gripping it and looking down.
Breath. Breath. Talk.
“I said a lot of awful crap to your brother, but I didn’t tell him he didn’t have a right to exist. I’ll leave. I’ve already told Ash I’m staying away from Paul. But, I didn’t tell him he had to…”
She hadn’t wanted him dead.
She turned around, with her back to Reggie so he wouldn’t see her cry, because that had riled Paul up and she wanted to at least not manipulate Reggie with the water works.
“I’m leaving. But, I didn’t tell him that. I said a lot of bad things, but I didn’t say that.”
"How would you feel if those words were turned on you? Wait but you really are delusional to think the world is all sunshine and ponyta farts. You're pathetic, you're the real freak here. Turning such cruelty on a man who doesn't owe you the time of day. Get it through your thick skull right now you useless child. Nobody. Owes. You. Anything." he snapped.
"The real reason you're upset isn't obvious to me, but if I ever find out you've hurt Paul this badly again, I will string you up in ways that would make Team Rocket nauseated. Are we clear, child?" was he being cruel? Very much so. Did he actually mean the threat? Not one bit, but she didn't need to know that.
"You sicken me..."

"Welcome ho---"
A pause as he notes his brother's stance, his face... This was his brother all but broken down and beaten and it was a look he didn't see often. His heart wrenched so painfully in his chest, suddenly it felt really hard to swallow. Just what had happened to his brother, his son?
"I'll make your favourite for dinner..." Reiji muttered, walking over and placing a hand on his shoulder before wrapping Paul into his arms and holding him. He knew that typically, his brother hated such signs of affection, but Reiji also knew when they were so very needed
"It's okay.. I've got you now." he whispered. "You're safe now."

"You."
He wasn't happy, his lips set into a frown and disapproval as well as fury, actual fury rolled off the normal good-natured breeder in spades, his eyes narrowed, an almost hateful look in them. In this precise moment, you'd have sworn somehow he was the younger brother rather than the laid-back rancher.
"What the hell are you doing here? Come to show your pathetic, judgmental, ugly soul around my ranch? Get away from the Pokémon I take care of. I don't want anybody so ugly tainting their innocence." he snapped.
"Nobody who has the gall to tell somebody else they basically have no right to exist deserves to be near the Pokémon I raise. Get. Out. Of. My. Sight."
