another thing about ikkoku nikki is that its everything i want from the "daddy and daughter" genre. entirely unprepared adult speedruns becoming a parental figure on accidental, but they're a woman. freshly orphaned child desperately needs someone to provide them safety and security and love, but they're actually an entirely present and relevant character.
