I saw the stunning DTIYS by @lennsart , based on their amazing fic A cave like a net (and a spilled secret), and i just had to participate!! I love everything to do with mer Legend, and i binged the fic in one sitting, if you all have time, please read it, i really recommend it!

given the prior update about Legend being the successor to a head hero, and not knowing that said hero is Time, the symbolism of this seems more to e more about Legend facing up against the truth about time's death in his world, not so much Legend himself being in danger of death

lets be real, Legend is always knocking on Deaths door, and every time she answers it's just to sell him more stuff

Don't think about the latest bag of rupees you won from a bet with the captain or the way elation lit his face at the use of your fire rod. A man in uniform you can trust.

Don't think about about the warmth buzzing under your chest as the resident sleepyhead pressed his most treasured companion in your hands. Don't think about how the blade greeted you like an old friend or the start of an eternal legacy fluttering in the wind.

Don't think about the hopping stone statues and careful movements of the rancher. Don't think about two dark forms, curled against each other despite their differences.

Don't think about stern words in the heat of creation or the passion dripping from the smithy's eyes. Don't think about him as something you thought you would never see again.

Don't think about the crooked eyebrows and flailing limbs. The sailor always had a knack for storytelling, so ignore the way wind twirls around his locks. Don't think about the sea.

Don't think about the wooden bowl filled with warm soup after a day of trudging through the rain. Don't think about scars that stretch the body or vacant houses now touched with life anew.

Don't think about shattering pots and delighted laughter in darkness. Don't think about how the traveler pokes at your attitude. Don't think about the legacy you will leave behind.

Don't think... don't wonder... just how much time do you have left with them?

I unfortunately got afflicted with this horrible sickness called The FeelsTM and spend the last week working on this piece. Whenever I scroll through ao3 for fanfics and I bump into those post-lu fics I get so so so sad (actually I don't even need to scroll through ao3 for that to happen it just randomly ambushes me).
