Blood & Amethysts | Elena & Violetta
Violetta hadn't seen much of Elena since she had gotten back from school. She was around for mealtime and there had stayed up late one evening with Violetta, Emma, and Mrs. Moretti to help write out the name tags for the seating arrangements, but other than that, Violetta saw her only in passing. She was like the ghost of the Moretti mansion.
She was so far gone from the energetic young girl she had been when they were all kids, but then hadn't they all changed drastically? Still, if she hadn't been afraid to ask, she would have wondered if she wasn't sick, too.
But she looked better tonight. Her color had returned (or was that just blush that was giving her cheeks that rosy look?) and she had been smiling, sitting between Alek and Tony.
When Tony and Alek went to greet a guest, leaving Elena alone, Violetta went over to her table.
"Hey, wanna refill?" She asked, bringing another glass of champagne over from one of the waiter's tray.
Someone Else's Dream | Tony & Violetta
Home was surreal. Home. Tony felt as if he were walking through a dream, lost in someone else’s distant memories. Harmonies wafted through the air along with the inane chatter of their guests. The Moretti Anniversary was to be the gathering of the year, as usual. As usual, Tony looked perfect. Between his mother and Alek, nothing less than pristine could ever be expected from him. He was hardly the only one. Each Moretti looked as if they’d stepped out of a high end magazine. Tony knew this scene all too well. Mingling, smiling here, laughing there, clapping that back, shaking this hand. Pleasant. He’d dispatched Alek to spread the goodwill, in his own way. Afterall, Alek was his shadow: Tony was a man with the unusual ability to be in two places at once. On his own, he drifted through the crowd. “Your husband is a very lucky man, Mrs. Abate,” Tony was saying, raising her hand to his lips. “It is wonderful to see you, tonight. Please excuse me, I have to attend to the rest of our guests.” Turning, he spotted Violetta, managing a smile. Truth be told, Tony hardly knew how to interact with her, these days. She had outgrown the fearless little girl he remembered from his childhood and no one knew better than Tony that he was anything but the boy he’d once been. Affixing a smile to his lips, he alighted on more pleasantries. It was the only weapon in his arsenal left for such a situation. In many ways, Tony had forgotten how to simply be a casual friend. “I think I hardly need to tell you what a help you’ve been with all this. I have little doubt my mother would have been absolutely driven mad, if you hadn’t been there to save the day with that wine debacle, earlier.”
It was so formal: the way they talked to each other now. There was no air of familiarity that there once had been, so many years ago, and Violetta might as well have been speaking with a stranger. "Oh, it was nothing." She said, waving her hand as though it brush it aside, "I'm happy to help."
She had been Mrs. Moretti's assistant, every step of the way. And she was happy for it: it gave her something to do before her summer classes started up. She didn't want to be useless, especially after all they had done for her.
"I want your mother to enjoy this," She said, looking towards the dance floor where she was moving slowly with Alfonso to the music, "And it looks like she is," She smiled.
Mrs. Moretti had been working towards this moment. She had been engrossed in her daily routine: mass, planning, cooking, praying. Until it became a mantra: mass, planning, cooking, praying, mass, planning, cooking, praying. It was if, if she could distract herself enough and not focus on what might be just around the corner for her husband, it wouldn't happen and it was all so she could reach this moment. This moment of perfect happiness, with her husband able to laugh and eat and dance, surrounded by all of her children.
Violetta wondered what would happen after, if her husband's health didn't last. She was strong and she had build a tall wall around her fears, but how much fear and worry could it hold. And it wasn't just her husband she feared for: you could tell by the way she looked at her children, the extra moment she hugged them, the way her eyes followed them as they left the room, that she was afraid for them too, as though she was worried that they might die any day, too. Which, Violetta supposed, was likely. Perhaps her husband's illness had made her all that more aware of morality.
She had no idea that they were, in fact, all in danger.
ooc || Sonny & Violetta
So these two are childhood friends? I can actually see Sonny considering her as, like, a second little sister and wanting to PROTECT HER AT ANY COSTS. And basically now that she lives with them, trying to keep her from, um, finding out what exactly their business is?
Yeaaaah. Okay that’s all I’ve got for these two right now. Thoughts?
Sounds good!! :D I think despite his efforts, she's probably starting to ~suspect now, especially since this place is kinda on lock down b/c of recent events, but the Moretti family has always had security and she's like it's just b/c they are super wealthy, etc. but the changes in Tony (and Elena too) are probs the most telling, tbh, haha. But I think there will be no denying it after ppl start dying, haha.
ANYWAY, I do think she'd like hanging around Sonny b/c I think he's much more like his old self than his siblings are and Violetta definitely likes that b/c he doesn't feel so much like a stranger, like the others do (I mean, I'm sure she gets along fine with Mike, but I'm playing him so that doesn't count haha).

ooc | Violetta & Elena
I mean, if she hasn’t been around in the last four/five years, then I can certainly see their relationship crumbling rapidly. Especially because Elena has pretty much pulled away from everyone since the accident, even her own family members to some extent. So I could certainly see where a childhood friend would have been all but cut off.
Obvi Elena would still be nice and polite to Violetta. She’s Family after all, and they ~were friends. And I also think she wouldn’t care v. much that Vi is more the ~daughter her mother wanted? Because that isn’t who Elena is, like at all. She’s trying a bit more now, but even the shooting can’t fundamentally change who Elena is. I think she’d be relieved, tbqh. Have someone there for her mother to be distracted by when everything becomes too much for Elena and she has to slip away to calm down.
I agree that I’m not sure if they’d be much in the way of friends now, (idk who would be friends with Elena at all, tbqh) but I could CERTAINLY see them being friendly. :]
Okay, sounds good! :D
Also idek if Violetta would even know about the ~shooting (like i think she def heard that she had an accident and was in the hospital for a time and probs sent flowers or a card or something idk. Like she probably didn't even know how serious it was? And like her father was a serious part of the business, but I don't think Violetta ever really knew what was happening? Like it was all just ~normal to her and I don't think she'll fully realize what kind of business they have until she's back as an adult and realizes alll the things she didn't pick up on as a kid.)
Anyway, do you think we're ready to start them?
ooc | Tony & Violetta
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Wow, you got one chance, Tony, don’t screw it up-Oh. ;DDDDDD No but like I feel like he’ll be v happy to see her, see home and like that’s heartbreaking bc it’ll all be so different and like PLS SOMEONE HELP ANTONIO MORETTI (not you, Alek ;DDDDD)
NOT YOU ALEK ~DYING FOREVER AND EVER~ (also I think the first thing that Violetta will notice that's weird about Tony, is how close he and Alek are tbh. Like I feel he'll def feel different or whatever, but I think everyone does to her and she chalks it up to the time they've been apart but WHOA ALEK CANNOT HIDE HIS WEIRD. ;D)
Anyway, do you think we're ready to start these two, as well? Do you think we should start them at the anniversary party or a little before or ... ?
ooc | Tess & Violetta
Hmmmmm, I feel like their bgs would be a stumbling block bc they have basically 0 in common and Tess would basically just laugh at her?????? And that probs seems v weird/mean but like that’s just Tess idk. I guess it might impact too…How long have they known each other, basically? Like idek???????
Hmmm, actually that's a good question?? So like, if they have met I feel like it would have been when Sonny was dating Lia?? And I feel like Violetta was even ~more sheltered than and would have been like ~omg what w/ Tess probs and probs shocked by like 99% of what Tess's actions and she'd be the wet blanket like ~maybe you shouldn't do that and that meeting probs wouldn't have gone well, tbh. And like, idk that they'd really chill much now, if that's how/when they met, but idk maybe Tess is sometimes Violetta's like ~bodyguard when she goes into the city to school or whatever ?
ooc | Vi & Emma
At least they’ll be together in death??????? ;DDDDDD No, but they legit would not, esp with Alek ~lurking about. Like I feel like 90% of what they do is shoot each other looks when they’re talking to the Morettis like they’re on the office and the other person is the camera like idek. HAHAHAHAHAHA And like Emma’s just like, “This isn’t how you grew up, is it??????”
AT LEAST THEY'LL BE TOGETHER IN DEATH OMG. ;D (but seriously they probs do die together. ;DDDD Or they watch the other one die, idk basically I feel like they stick together through most of this and bad things happen???) BUT THEY DO THE OFFICE LOOKS ALLLLL THE TIME. Like there is so much crazy at the Moretti house like whoa? And even sane(r) ppl like Mike don't catch on to alllll the crazy B/C IT'S NORMAL and Emma and Vi are just like IDEK OUR LIVES MAN WE ARE LIKE ON SOME WEIRD SITCOM (and then later like ahah lol this is more like Breaking Bad meets Game of Thrones with more deaths than TWD??) ;D
Annnnyyywayyy, do you think we're ready to start them?? Oh! Timeline wise -- so I think that Emma's been there since about Christmas/when Moretti got hurt and that Violetta has been there not quite as long (I feel like it was about a month after Emma/like in January sometime), basically I feel like at this point they know each other pretty well??

ooc | Violetta & Elena
So these two were friends as kids, but I'm not sure what their relationship would be like now?? Violetta really hasn't seen the Morettis that much over the last four-five years, but now she's living w/ them b/c her dad was a Caporegime & died and she needed a place to go and the Morettis take care of their own and yeah. But, anyway, they are pretty different and idk if they'd get along now or not?? I mean, I def think Vi would still like Elena, but I can see where they might not b/c they are pretty different and I feel like Violetta is kinda what Mrs. Moretti wants Elena to be?? Not that she loves Violetta more or anything, but idk if that would create ~tension or not or if Elena wouldn't really care about that or what and basically this comment is kinda noncoherent, but the point is that I'm up for doing whateves with these too??
ooc | Tony & Violetta
[ CRICKETS ] ;D
Haha, but jk I think that they'd probs get on pretty well at first, still??? Like probs sometime after the anniversary party when she starts to see Tony in action she'll be like WHOA. But right now, she'd be pretty happy to see him tbh.
ooc | Tess & Violetta
Haha okay wow like these two are so different???? Idk, how they'd get along ? Like on one hand I can see them like ~balancing each other, but on the other I can see where they'd be too different to get along and thoughts??
ooc | Vi & Emma
Okay, but how would these two survive without each other?? ;DD (well, survive emotionally. Their trip that lands them in Boston may physically kill them but okay ;D)
Violetta Coppola (23) nina dobrev relationships: Emma Miller (friend), Sonny Moretti, Tony Moretti, Mike Moretti, Elena Moretti (childhood friends)
Violetta was raised by her father.
Her mother had been struggling with cancer off and on since she was a teenager, and three years after Violetta was born, she died.
Violetta has a few vague memories of her mother, but for the most part, she cannot remember a time when it wasn’t just her and her father.
Her parents were both only children, so when her father died a few months ago, it left her without any family.
Or rather, any biological family.
Since her father had been close friends with Don Alfonso Moretti, as well as one of his most trusted Caporegimes, the Morettis considered the Coppolas as their own.
Violetta had grown up with the Moretti kids, but she hadn’t seen them much since she went off to school.
When her father died, Don Moretti sent Adam Cassidy to help settle her father’s affairs.
Although her father had been well compensated by Moretti for his services to The Family, he had lived out of his means and had nothing but debt to leave his daughter.
Moretti agreed to pay off his debts and he opened his house up to Violetta until she finishes her schooling and is on her feet.
Violetta is eternally grateful to the Morettis and is determined to pay them back, somehow, although Moretti has already told her that she shouldn’t even think of it.
Still, she goes out of her way to help Mrs. Moretti since the Don has grown ill.
She likes the Morettis and doesn’t mind living with them, but the longer she stays, the more she realizes that the business her father was involved with, isn’t what she had thought and she’s eager to be finished with school and away from the gated Moretti complex which, had once felt like a haven, starts to feel more like a prison.
