âYeah? Sounds like London.â Felix was a city boy at heart, he couldnât resist the sound of traffic and having to dodge around slow-walkers (as much as he hated them). Metro City was nearly as good. He liked the high-rise buildings.Â
Her response made him laugh, and whether it had been intended as a joke or not, he decided he liked her. âI wish. Come on, Iâll show you around a bit. What floorâs your room on?â Felix downed the last of his orange juice and went to wash out the glass.Â
The other Felix went to open the door, and he gestured out of the kitchen. âAfter you,â he said, and let himself through. He smiled at Violet.Â
Violet picked up her tea and carefully followed. She really hoped she didnât mind her being slow just so she could finish it. One the one hand, he seemed like the kind of guy who wanted to get everywhere as quickly as he could, for fear of missing anything, but she also felt heâd understand. Besides, sheâd have finished it soon enough.
âOh um, I wasât actually paying attention to the floor numbers, itâs one floor above this one.â she replied, as she walked through the door after him.
