It was too much for her- and it mentally broke her. She soon ran into a tree though, making a sound that Kyle would have likely heard.

He heard the sound of something hitting a tree somewhere in front of him, but maintained his pace so he wouldn’t do the same as her scent grew stronger and stronger. “Hey,” he growled. “Are you okay?”

Erica nodded. “Me and your Father never really got along, but even then I judge each individual separately from any others. Best not assume things, after all… Though what are you doing out of the castle, knowing him he would be a very protective father.”

That was strange. Her father never mentioned ever meeting her before, but hearing they didn’t get along could be why he never spoke of Erica. “Dad is a pretty hard person to get along with.” The vampire nodded. She never had much problem with her father easing up to her, but a lot of people she saw had to really step up their game to make it on his good books. “Well he’s kinda eased up on the whole overprotective streak. He’s okay with me venturing off now, but sometimes I think he still worries just not as much as before.”

Mavis hoped she didn’t startle the other girl or anything. She had an interesting accent and she seemed friendly, so Mavis saw no need to hold back. “It’s nice to meet you Erica.” She smiled. “My name is Mavis Dracula.” She didn’t really have much of a title to add after her own name…well except being Dracula’s daughter but her last name made that clear they were related.

It was Erica, playing her violin and making the leaves change color and the wings get stronger and colder. The effect was quite visible around her, because she didn’t think anyone was watching… And it was beautiful, and yet very sad.

The music was becoming louder as she got closer. It was beautiful to hear. Mavis also noticed that leaves were changing colours. Did they always changed this fast? Being already cold she didn’t quite feel the wind getting colder but she could feel it was getting stronger. A branch with several leaves was in front of her and using her hand she moved it out of the way to see what was ahead.

Autumn was coming round and she could already start seeing hints of it outside. This meant that nights would soon be longer, meaning more time for the teenaged vampire to come out and explore. The sun had only set completely only a while ago so it was still early for monster standards. The lobby would probably packed so to save herself time she transformed into a bat and flew out her window heading to the human village nearby. Once she was near, Mavis transformed back to herself and started walking the rest of the way, when she suddenly heard music playing nearby. Curiosity got the better of her and soon she trailed off from her original route following the sound of the music.
